The pair was upset about moving away from each other but stated they had no choice. Adnan explained that he could not move to the U.S. with Tigerlily because he had no green card or tourist visa. Tigerlily planned to apply for a spousal visa but feared it could take up to a year to get approved. As a result, she was unsure what the future had in store for her relationship with Adnan.

While 41-year-old Tigerlily prepared to leave, Adnan spoke to the cameras and admitted he was "sad to say goodbye to her." The Jordan native revealed he could not accompany her to the U.S. despite being her husband because he had no green card or tourist visa.
