"Ridiculous" — Love After Lockup fans react to Bianca and Daniel's promise ring drama

Season 5 of Love After Lockup released episode 50 on Friday, December 6, 2024. The episode, titled Love Is Sacrifice, saw Daniel give Bianca a promise ring and vow to become the man she deserved as her husband. Contrary to Daniel's expectations, Bianca was unimpressed by his gesture. The female cast member criticized him for giving her a promise ring instead of an engagement ring.

Earlier episodes featured Bianca clashing with Daniel over the topic of marriage. While Bianca wanted to tie the knot as soon as possible, Daniel wanted more time to process everything before making a life-changing decision. However, at the same time, he did not want to upset Bianca, so he decided to give her a promise ring.

Bianca thought the ring signified Daniel's promise to propose in the future. However, he clarified that it only represented his commitment to better himself as her partner, adding to Bianca's disappointment. He assured her that he would eventually discuss marriage but she remained unconvinced. She continued to complain about the ring and its authenticity.

Love After Lockup fans took to X to comment on Daniel and Bianca's conversation. While many criticized Bianca for not appreciating Daniel's gesture, others believed the couple was not mature enough for marriage.

Many Love After Lockup fans disapproved of Bianca's reaction to the ring.

"I'm so sick of Bianca's ungrateful a**.... She doesn't deserve a promise ring foreal.... And she wants an engagement ring? Tf," a user reacted.

Other Love After Lockup fans believed Daniel was trying to avoid the discussion of marriage by giving Bianca a promise ring.

"It's us now" — Love After Lockup star Daniel tries to reassure Bianca of his commitment to her

Daniel brought Bianca to a park and gave her a promise ring. He put the ring on her right hand to "save the good stone for the left." Bianca was not moved by his gesture and complained about the ring not being the correct size.

"It's fine. Yeah. Thank you," she said.

While speaking to the cameras, the Love After Lockup star felt that Daniel considered the ring a "get out of jail free card" that he could use to stop her from bothering him. Daniel clarified that the ring did not change their relationship status, but only represented his commitment to her.

Hearing that, Bianca confessed it was "super important" that he gave her a real ring because she would not wait forever. When the Love After Lockup star asked Daniel if the ring symbolized his promise to propose to her one day, he replied, "Well, no."

He requested her to be patient and give him the time to process everything. When Bianca said that the entire thing felt inauthentic, Daniel disagreed, reassuring her that it was genuine.

While speaking to the cameras, Daniel confessed that Bianca did not know what love felt like or who she was. He knew a ring would not ease her mind because other factors kept her from being happy.

"I'm with somebody who doesn't know what love is, who doesn't love themself and doesn't believe me when I tell them that I love them," he said.

Nonetheless, he believed in her and knew Bianca could get to a better place. When he saw her crying, he reassured her about his feelings and said:

"It's us now. Like, that's what that promise is about. Us."

Meanwhile, Bianca mentioned that she could do nothing besides wait for Daniel to figure out what he wanted to do. The Love After Lockup star refused to sever ties with him over one disagreement.
