The Great British Bake Off season 15 aired its season finale on Tuesday, November 26, 2024. The segment saw the top 3— Christiaan, Dylan, and Georgie— compete to become the ultimate Star Baker. After competing in the season's finale Signature Bake, Technical Challenge, and Showstopper, Georgie emerged victorious.

During the first challenge of the night, the contestants had to bake 24 scones, 12 sweet and 12 savory. This was followed by a tea display, including lemon sandwich cakes, strawberry tarts, played eggs, and cress rolls. During the Showstopper, they had to make a "hanging cake," with three tiers and two fillings.

After the winner was revealed, fans of the baking competition took to social media to react to the verdict. While some praised Georgie's victory, others felt Christiaan should have been the winner of The Great British Bake Off.

"Christiaan was robbed!! He should have won," one person wrote on X:

"Christiaan was the only one that didn't have a single melt down and never asked for anyone's help. He was also always pushing for something different, instead of sticking to the same old, boring flavours you've seen time and time again," a fan commented.

The Great British Bake Off season 15 aired its season finale this week on Tuesday, November 26, 2024. The segment saw Georgie emerge victorious while the eliminated contestants cheered her on.

After the announcement, following the show's format, the finalists wrote letters before parting ways with the show. Finalist Christiaan praised his journey on the show and said that he couldn't believe it had come to an end. He added that he couldn't have imagined himself baking in "that big white tent" even in his "wildest dreams."

"This journey has been about chasing a dream, stepping outside my comfort zone, and believing in myself – and it's been amazing!" Christiaan added.

The Great British Bake Off season 15 star said it had been an "honor" to bake alongside the other 11 contestants, and called them "the most talented bakers" he had ever met. He said he was "so grateful to have made friends for life."

He further thanked fans for the love and support and said that although he didn't know what was next for him, he knew it was "only the beginning."
