Big Brother season 26 aired its latest episode on Thursday, September 12, 2024. Two nominees, Kimo and Angela, were on the block and at risk of going home. Without the AI Arena, the Power of Veto (PoV) was their only route to safety. However, the game got complicated when the PoV landed in Makensy's hands.
She used the power to save Angela, while Head of Household (HoH) Chelsie nominated Quinn as the replacement. Chelsie hoped to earn the favor of the trio, T'Kor, Rubina, and Kimo by placing a bigger threat, Quinn, on the block, certain about his chances of going home.
Having lost most of his allies, Quinn knew he was at risk of eviction from the Big Brother house. In the latest episode, the cast member was evicted from the show with four votes against him. He left the house to become the first member of the jury.
Fans took to X to react to his elimination. While some were pleased with his exit, others were upset to see a strong competitor leave. Some netizens were disheartened since Quinn could not meet host, Julie Chen Moonves, who was down with Covid. Jerry O'Connell appeared as her replacement.
"Quinn has gotta be one of my most favorite houseguests ever. Sad to see him go, but I’ve gotta feeling we’re gonna see him soon either in a battle back or future season," a fan wrote.
"Im so sad Quinn is gone," another fan commented.
"Quinn getting evicted is one of the few moments I actually wanted to happen thus far," one netizen tweeted.
There were mixed feelings about Quinn getting evicted from season 26 of Big Brother.
"Love you Quinn, you deserved to be this season’s winner," a user reacted.
"Quinn is really a flop like failed HOH twice failed taking out his enemy Angela and gets out without Julie welcoming him oh that’s so bad like that’s what he gets for targeting godgela," a person commented.
"One of the stars of the season. However questionable his gameplay was, it drove the season forward and his messiness stopped the steamroll more than anything else. A flatly great person who contributed to this being one of the best seasons in recent years. Beat you Quinn," a netizen wrote.
"QUINN HAS OFFICIALLY BEEN EVICTED FROM THE BIG BROTHER HOUSE! GOODBYE CURLS!!!!!!!! GO FANBOY ELSEWHERE!" one fan tweeted.
Many Big Brother fans were upset that Quinn, a self-proclaimed superfan, could not meet Julie after exiting the house.
"Ughhhh the fact that Quinn doesn’t even get an interview with julie makes me so sad," a person commented.
"Feel so bad for Quinn. He didn't even get an exit with Julie. As a superfan, that's heart breaking," one user wrote.
Big Brother season 26 star Quinn tried to convince the houseguests to keep him
After being put on the block, Quinn realized he was outnumbered and needed to plead his case to elongate his stay in the house. Leah and Angela were the only people Quinn knew he could depend on. That said, most considered him a threat and wanted him gone to have a better chance at winning.
HoH Chelsie, who once worked alongside the cast member to orchestrate Tucker's eviction, turned her back on Quinn to get in the good graces of T'Kor, Rubina, and Kimo.
Quinn approached Makensy and told her that the group of three would never prioritize each other. At the same time, he vowed not to target them if she voted to keep him. He then went to Cam and offered to be his biggest ally in the game. The Big Brother cast member said he could use him as a pawn to target other people in the competition if needed.
While speaking with Chelsie, Quinn promised he would never nominate her if and when he became the HoH. He also warned her that the trio was using him as a shield for their protection while claiming to care about the other houseguests.
Despite his pleas, Makensy and Chelsie decided not to keep Quinn because they feared he would consolidate another trio with Leah and Angela if he stayed. Once the voting started, Makensy, Rubina, T'Kor, and Cam voted to evict Quinn, whereas Leah and Angela voted to keep the Big Brother houseguest.
By a vote of 4-2, Quinn was eliminated, becoming the first member of the jury. In his exit interview with Jerry, Quinn mentioned that Makensy and Cam made the "less optimal move" by leaving the core trio in the house for another week.
Big Brother season 26 airs Sundays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, only on CBS.
