"Scheming gaslighter"— The Real Housewives of Orange County fans criticize Heather’s argument with Shannon at the reunion

The Real Housewives of Orange County season 18 aired Reunion Part 1 this week on Thursday, November 7, 2024. The segment saw Tamra Judge and Shannon Beador address their season-long feud that started after the latter's DUI.

Shannon's DUI and the aftermath were one of the main storylines of the season and while in Sonoma, she confided in co-star Heather Dubrow about the the injuries she sustained and asked her not to tell the cast. The cast member also spoke about the night of the accident while in an episode of Jeff Lewis's podcast and Heather felt that Shannon was trying to control the narrative as per an argument they had in London.

The reunion saw the two address the argument but fans were unhappy with Heather's point of view. One person wrote on X:

"Heather was talking about it to be messy. It wasn’t because of Jeff Lewis, because that has nothing to do with the conversation you had with Shannon… Heather is a scheming gaslighter"

Fans of The Real Housewives of Orange County season 18 felt Heather argued with Shannon after she saw Tamra attack her:

"Heather saw Tamra attack Shannon that whole trip and chose to instead of stay out of it to jump in and get her licks in, válid the comment was put out, for someone who loves telling people when and where, there’s a time and place," a person wrote.

"Heather, you know damn well Shannon meant, “I hadn’t thought about it until YOU brought it up” on Jeff Lewis’s show. Coincidentally, she’s talking DIRECTLY to the person who brought it to her attention. She doesn’t throw friends under the bus, whereas you…," a fan commented.

In The Real Housewives of Orange County season 18 episode 18, Shannon and Heather addressed their point of conflict. Earlier in the season, Shannon had shown Heather pictures of herself from the night of the accident as the two discussed whether John Janssen could have heard the crash.

Heather previously felt that although Shannon had asked her not to talk about it, while on the Jeff Lewis podcast, she said she hadn't thought about whether John heard the crash.

At The Real Housewives of Orange County season 18 reunion special, Heather felt it was okay to discuss it with the others since Shannon addressed it on the Jeff Lewis podcast. She added that she hadn't spoken to anyone else until that point. Shannon stated that the night she showed Heather the picture of herself, she acted like she hadn't seen it before, although Tamra had told her about it.

Shannon further recalled her argument with Heather in London, and said that the first night of the cast trip was "horrible." Addressing her behavior towards Shannon, Heather apologized to The Real Housewives of Orange County season 18 cast member and said that moving forward, Shannon shouldn't confide in her if she didn't trust her.
