"I set the standard" — The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On star J.R. reacts to Nick getting the same tattoo as him
In episode 6 of The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On, Nick went to a tattoo parlor to get a tattoo done. When the artist asked why he wanted to get one, Nick confessed that it "made sense," recalling how difficult it was to stay away from his partner, Sandy.
While speaking to the cameras, he mentioned that although the past few weeks had been "lonely" and challenging, he wasn't too excited about the changeover because he feared Sandy might return a changed person.
"If somebody can jump so quickly into something else, it says a lot. If this is the end of the story of Sandy and Nick, that's not what I came here for," he said.
After the tattoo artist had finished working on him, Nick went to the mirror to see the result. At first glance, he realized that was not the tattoo he wanted. Nick admitted he accidentally sent the wrong image to the artist, and now instead of "love conquers all," he had "fortune favors the bold."
The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On cast member laughed it off, claiming it was a mistake he could see himself making.
"It's very, very me," he said.
In episode 7 of The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On, the original couples reunited and gathered for a fun get-together. During the event, when Nick discovered that J.R. had the same tattoo, he was shocked. J.R.'s girlfriend, Zaina, teased the men, saying they were "bonded for life."
Although Nick confessed that it was an accident, J.R. remained unconvinced. While speaking to the cameras, he mentioned that Nick was "probably trying to copy" him because he was bothered by his connection with Sandy.
"So, he's like, 'I'm going to get the same tattoo on my arm, so I can be like J.R.' That's cool, you know? I set the standard," J.R. said.
The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On season 3 is available to stream exclusively on Netflix.
