Selling The City premiered on Netflix on Friday, January 3, 2025, and delved into the professional and private struggles of the agents of the brokerage Douglas Elliman. Led by Eleonora Srugo, the New York-based brokers put their best foot forward trying to close deals while wishing to outperform each other, often leading to disagreements and disputes.

Episode 8, titled Best and Final, saw the agents try their best to sell luxury listings while grappling with interpersonal conflicts. While Abi discussed Jade's hurtful comments about Eleanora's appearance and profession with Gisselle, Taylor, and Eleanora addressed their dispute and put it behind them.

Although Gisselle and Eleanora mended ways during Justin's 40th birthday party, not everyone could resolve their differences. During Eleanora's party, Abi locked horns with Jade. While Abi hoped Jade would explain why she made the negative remarks about everyone, Jade threatened to sue Netflix if they aired their conflict.

The official synopsis of Selling The City episode 8 reads:

"Abi reveals juicy rumors over drinks with Gisselle. Taylor and Eleonora clear the air. A special occasion ends on a sour note."

What happened in Selling The City episode 8?

The episode started with Abi and Gisselle discussing Jade's actions over drinks. After Gisselle confessed she could not trust Jade, Abi disclosed everything Jade told her about Eleonora during a private meeting. Abi revealed Jade pointed fingers at Eleonora's character, criticized her dressing style, and looked down on her business.

Abi was convinced Jade was trying to "manipulate" her opinion of Eleonora by confiding in her. Regardless, she disapproved of Jade's overall behavior.

"She is creating this toxic environment, and I think that's what she wants," Abi said.

The Selling The City cast member acknowledged the competition between the brokers but was critical of Jade's constant efforts to disrupt everything at Douglas Elliman. She hoped Jade's antics failed to infiltrate their bond as a team.

While showing Taylor a 3831 sq. ft. condo at 1st Avenue Murray Hills, listed at $8.8 million, Eleonora confronted her about her demand for more money from Corporate. Eleonora asked Taylor to explain why she made the request without informing her first.

Taylor revealed she needed the money to pay her father's medical bills and her own fertility treatments. She added that she wanted to save in case she needed a surrogate in the future. Upon hearing that, Eleanora confessed that she could relate to Taylor since she had undergone fertility treatments herself.

Eleanora revealed she was born with one kidney and two uteri which prevented her from getting pregnant naturally. Although she understood Taylor's concerns, she did not want her to work from a place of desperation or fear. With that said, Eleanora assured Taylor she would take care of her request.

Later, at Justin's 40th birthday party, Gisselle approached Eleanora, hoping to clear the air between them.

"I was literally going through a lot of emotional bulls**t because of this. Like I was, like, just not well. It doesn't feel good when me and you are going through it. It feels like I'm going through a breakup," she said.

Ultimately, Eleanora and Gisselle hugged and ended their dispute.

In another segment of the Selling The City episode, Gisselle showed a 2900 sq. ft. listing with an asking price of $5,495,000 to a potential client, Natalie. Gisselle tried her best to answer every question Natalie asked, hoping to impress her.

Elsewhere, Steve met with Eleanora to inform her that his clients offered to pay $28.5 million for one of her penthouse listings, which was $16.5 million below the asking price. Although the offer was low, Eleanora hoped to close the deal after some negotiation. After a chat with the homeowner, Eleanora countered Steve's offer and asked for $38.5 million for the penthouse.

However, when Steve's clients refused to pay more than $30 million, Eleanora decided to contact others to see if she could resolve the matter.

Later, during Eleanora's party to celebrate her team's first anniversary, Jade advised Taylor not to "bet against" Eleanora since she was one of the most loyal people she knew. While speaking to the cameras, the Selling The City star stated that she did not want to disrespect Eleanora or see conflict at the office.

The party soon turned sour after Abi approached Jade for a private conversation. Jade refused to talk to her and started walking out of the room. While Abi continued asking Jade why she spoke ill of her and her co-workers, the latter refused to entertain her.

After Abi revealed Jade called her "old" and criticized Eleanor, Jade threatened producers not to air that part or she would sue everyone. The Selling The City star stormed out of the party, saying, "F**k Netflix. F**k everybody."
