Shannon Beador's family explored as RHOC star apologizes to daughters after DUI incident

The Real Housewives of Orange County star Shannon Beador, in a preview clip shared by BravoTV, could be seen apologizing to her daughters, Sophie, 22, and twins Stella and Adeline, 19, after her DUI arrest in September 2023.

While addressing Stella, Shannon said:

"I took Sophie to college, I took Adeline to college, and your dad took you, so it was my intent to come and visit you. But because of my mistakes, I wasn't able to come. And I feel bad."

Beador then got teary-eyed and apologized to her children, saying:

"I'm so sorry and humiliated that I disappointed you. What kind of example am I at 59? I've never broken a bone, I've never had a concussion, I've never been in an accident, I've never been arrested, I've never had a DUI - and I did all that in 10 seconds."

In September, a spokesperson for the Newport Beach Police Department confirmed to USA Today on arresting the star for drunk diving and a hit-and-run on September 18. She was sentenced to three years of probation, and 40 hours of community service as per the reports by People in November.

Shannon Beador has three daughters, Sophie, 22, and twins Stella and Adeline, 19, whom she shares with her ex-husband David Beador. In RHOC, Sophie was revealed to have started college at Baylor University in Texas in August 2020 and graduated in May 2023.

Stella and Adeline Beador both left for college in August 2023, and Shannon Beador was seen bidding them a tearful goodbye in the show. While Stella is in Paris, Adeline is in Manhattan attending Parsons School of Design. Sharing the news of the twins entering university, Shannon wrote on Instagram:

"Today is a very emotional day. I am headed to NYC with Adeline to take her to school. The twins will not see each other until Christmas break and are going to miss each other beyond! Their bond is so precious! I am so excited to watch my girls move on to the next chapter of their lives but I am definitely going to be shedding a lot of tears in the next week."

In the recent clip from RHOC season 18, where she apologized to her kids, Stella and Sophie were seen reassuring their mother. While Stella was glad "no one was hurt", Sophie added:

"And that you take accountability for your actions and you learn from them and you grow."

In the preview clip of the new season, Shannon revealed she was at her ex John Janssen's house before her DUI arrest. Shannon Beador also revealed the two had an argument, and John had allegedly called her a "drunken idiot."

RHOC season 18 is set to air on July 11, 2024, on Bravo and will be available to stream on Peacock after its release.
