90 Day Fiancé star Edward Allen 'Big Ed' Brown's engagement ended only a few days after it was announced. 59-year-old Ed got engaged to 29-year-old Porscha Raemond only 24 hours after meeting her during a fan meet-and-greet at Plantation, Florida, on Friday, September 13.

In an Instagram video posted on Monday, September 23, captioned "Life update..!", Edward Allen Brown revealed that the engagement was off. He called the decision to get engaged "impulsive."

Ed claimed that the step was too soon for him and not what he really wanted. He added that he realized his mistake after talking to his family and wished his former fiancé all the best in life.

Social media users flooded the comments section of Ed's aforementioned video. One fan, who went by @mama_6143 on Instagram, commented under the post:

"I did something that was impulsive"— Big Ed on his engagement to Porscha Raemond

As mentioned earlier, TLC star Big Ed revealed that his whirlwind 24-hour engagement to Porscha Raemond was over via an Instagram post on Monday. The 90 Day Fiancé star said in his personal update filmed from a car:

"Love is a crazy thing... I did something that was impulsive, I asked this girl to marry me and after considering... It's too soon and it's not really what I want, obviously."

Ed added that after talking to his family, he realized that he did not want to get married and instead wanted to remain single. After wishing Porscha the best in life, the TLC star promised to keep his fans updated on his status as far as where he was going at this point but conceded that he was going to be "single for a while," which he thought was "the best move."

Besides his post, Big Ed also posted a since-deleted Instagram story, further clarifying his decision to call off his engagement. In his story, he added that his decision to propose was a "whirlwind and, admittedly, a very impulsive moment." He wrote:

"After some deep reflection and discussions with those closest to me, I've realized that rushing into this decision wasn't the right move. I have nothing but respect and love for Porscha and I wish her the best moving forward."

Previously, in an interview with Page Six, published on September 19, the Reality TV star gushed about his 24-hour engagement. He recalled meeting Porscha at the Plantation sandwich shop Capriotti’s and described her as a "beautiful Italian dish." At the time, Big Ed said it was love at first sight.

Porscha reportedly gave Ed a hug and a kiss on the cheek, and Ed recalled that the duo had already felt "the sparks." The next night, while at dinner with Ed's friends at YOLO in Fort Lauderdale, even though he didn't have a ring, Ed's friend suggested he pop the question.

Ed added that he proposed using a paper clip ring made by the restaurant manager. The TLC star further said that the whole restaurant was "freaking out." He recalled:

"I said, ‘Look I never want to let you go. I think I met the one. I want to marry you.’ And she said, ‘Yes,’ and we hugged and we kissed."

At the time, he stated that the duo decided to take the relationship slow. Although Big Ed's family reportedly thought the whole thing was for "publicity," for him, it felt like the "realest thing ever." However, as mentioned earlier, the 90 Day Fiancé star's whirlwind romance and fourth engagement did not last.

He was previously married to Sandra Heckman, then engaged to Rose Vega. His third engagement was with Elizabeth Woods, which ended on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After season 8.
