The Real Housewives of Dubai season 2 released 'Reunion Part One' on Tuesday, September 10, 2024. The housewives gathered to discuss some of their biggest fallouts and address unresolved issues, if any. Despite host Andy Cohen's mediation, the ladies' conversations transfigured into arguments in the blink of an eye.
One such argument ensued between Caroline Brooks and Taleen Marie. While Taleen claimed Brooks wanted her to come and hate the other cast members, Brooks firmly denied the accusation. Brooks not only refuted the claim but also mentioned that Taleen wanted to be a part of the show and made her watch other versions of The Real Housewives franchise.
The Real Housewives of Dubai fans took to X to react to their argument. While some thought Brooks scouted Taleen to challenge the other housewives, many defended Taleen for confronting her former best friend. Some netizens called out Brooks for expecting "loyalty" from Taleen.
"I’ve always said that brooks wanted taleen on because she knew she could go toe to toe with the ladies on her behalf. however, once taleen realized she was in good with the group without her, she denounced her. unless they could be messy together, then all was fine," a fan wrote.
"Brooks wanted Taleen to kiss her a**," another fan commented.
Some The Real Housewives of Dubai fans claimed that Brooks was being honest when she said Taleen wanted to be a part of the show.
"Taleen personifies why you don't put your friends on. She is the WORST. I hate a freeloader who flips on you when you put them on. Brooks, take this as a lesson learned," a netizen tweeted.
"They didn't show everything. Taleen wanted her moment at the expense of her long time friend. Brooks wasn't going to play her game! Taleen did get animated, begging for her spotlight," a user reacted.
"Taleen acting like she wasn't eager to be on this show has to be a lie. I believe Brooks. Taleen came there from Los Angeles, they're usually fame hungry. And ever since she moved to Dubai from California, I know she missed that spotlight," one person commented.
At the same time, some The Real Housewives of Dubai fans defended Taleen and criticized Brooks for demeaning her.
"I 100% believe Taleen when she says that Brooks wanted her to come into the show to come after Stanbury, Ayan, & Lesa & then got mad when she ended up being friends with them," a fan tweeted.
"I don’t love Taleen, but I am starting to see that Brooks exaggerates and uses specific words to paint a picture of Taleen as being more of an awful person than she really is. Like come on… that was her being “hysterical”?" another person reacted.
"Hahaha Brooks HATES that Taleen is wanted and loved," one user wrote.
"You are the fanatic" — The Real Housewives of Dubai star Taleen accuses Brooks of lying
Brooks introduced Taleen, someone she had known for almost a decade, to the show and the other housewives. She revealed Taleen was one of her closest girlfriends in Dubai, claiming they had a "crazy" friendship. However, their bond did not last long.
After Taleen joined the cast, she developed a close affiliation with Caroline Stanbury. Their budding friendship bothered Brooks, who grabbed every opportunity to complain about the cast member to Taleen. Brooks and Taleen's friendship was adversely affected when the latter blamed Brooks for unnecessarily "stirring the pot."
Later, they irreconcilably drifted apart when Brooks accused Taleen of "begging" her to make her a part of the cast.
When Andy asked Brooks if she prepared Taleen for The Real Housewives of Dubai, she replied no and claimed she never watched "Housewives." However, Taleen countered, saying:
"You walked into my house and you said to watch Beverly Hills."
The Real Housewives of Dubai cast member called Brooks a "fanatic" and said she wanted her to come in "guns blazing." She expected her to hate everyone. While defending herself, Brook confessed she wanted "some basis of some loyalty" from Taleen for bringing her on the show.
Taleen admitted she wanted to be on the show, but denied "begging" Brooks for the same. She added that she did not bond with Stanbury to go against Brooks, but only wanted to call out Brooks' mistakes.
The Real Housewives of Dubai will return with Reunion Part Two on Tuesday, September 17, 2024.
