The Mole season 2 ended as it released its finale on Friday, July 12. Viewers saw three cast mates, Ryan, Hannah, and Deanna, get evicted from the show in episode 9, making Sean, Muna, and Michael the finalists.

Tensions were high, and suspicions were rising as the three players competed against each other for the much-coveted winner's title. After the final elimination quiz in episode 10, Sean revealed himself to be the saboteur, as both Muna and Michael had correctly guessed. However, Michael answered more questions correctly than Muna, leading to his victory.

Michael walked away with the grand prize of $154,000, leaving Muna disappointed with her loss, being so close to the finish line. Fans of the Netflix game show were upset with Muna's defeat, and they took to X (formerly Twitter) to express their disappointment over her loss.

"I'm disappointed Muna didn't win the Mole. She was a FORCE! Love a smart queen #TheMole," a netizen wrote.
"Muna was robbed #TheMole," wrote another netizen.

Muna's gameplay impressed viewers as she focused on earning as much money as she could from the pot, but at the same time, she was quick to figure out if her teammates were out to sabotage her attempts.

"Muna deserved to win, f**k this sh*t #TheMole," a fan wrote.
"just finished watching #TheMole, really disappointed Muna didn't win like she was adding money to the pot & was a great player," another fan tweeted.
"Bummed that Muna didn't get that bag. She's so smart & deserving #TheMole," one person commented.

The Mole fans continued to praise her strategy, which she used to evade crises during missions and gain immunity for herself from elimination early in the show.

Muna's journey on The Mole season 2

24-year-old software engineer Muna made quite the impression on the show as she quickly became a fan favorite. Her deceptive strategy and shrewd gameplay made her a top player among the other cast members. She preferred keeping her moves concealed, which caused many to believe she was the mole. However, she also displayed team spirit while participating in the missions.

Adding money to the pot was one of her main goals throughout the show. In episode 6, players were offered the chance to bring back the eliminated contestant, Quaylyn, to the show.

Host Ari Shapiro informed them they would earn $20,000 in exchange for voting him back into the game. Although bringing another contestant meant raising the stakes, Muna did not hesitate to vote for Quaylyn's entry since she wanted the $20,000 added to the pot prize.

In episode 1, The Mole fans saw Muna take the correction but lie to her fellow co-stars by stating that she took the cash for the fund. Since an elimination followed, Muna calculated her chances and decided to do whatever she could to protect herself from an early elimination.

"I would do anything to still be here. I come from a family of refugees from Somalia. I'm doing this for them. I took it. I took the correction," said Muna.

She also lied in the fortune cookie game to earn the exemption card for herself in episode 3. However, Michael outsmarted the others and won immunity for himself. She was always suspicious of her co-stars, especially Sean. In episode 8, when presented with the chance to earn an exemption, she figured out Sean's efforts to sabotage and prevented his team from receiving it.

In the finale of The Mole, Muna, Michael, and Sean went head-to-head against each other. Muna and Michael correctly guessed the mole's identity, revealing him as Sean. However, as the results of the elimination quiz were being announced, Ari disclosed that Michael beat Muna by two questions and won the coveted winner's title.

Although she was delighted by Michael's victory, she felt disappointed in her loss.

"To see Michael win, I'm so happy for him. But at the same time, you know, to see myself so close! Two questions off. Two questions off," said Muna.

All episodes of The Mole season 2 are currently streaming on Netflix.
