Love is Blind season 7 released a special reunion episode on Wednesday, October 30, 2024. The cast members joined hosts, Nick and Vanessa Lachey, a year after the dating show concluded to look back on their time in the experiment and discuss relationship dynamics with each other.
Many couples left the pods engaged but failed to survive their relationship when faced with the challenges of everyday life. One such couple was Hannah and Nick, who parted ways after having a bitter fallout. Hannah called off their engagement, saying Nick was incompatible with her on multiple fronts.
At the reunion, Hannah revealed Nick had spoken negatively about her appearance after he saw her for the first time. Marissa defended Hannah when Nick tried to dismiss the accusation, criticizing him for mistreating her. She urged Nick to take accountability, encouraging the other cast members to stand up for Hannah.
Love is Blind fans took to X to call Marissa out for attacking Nick at the reunion. They were critical of her decision to justify Hannah's behavior while criticizing Nick for being "fake." A fan wrote on X:
"Marissa has so much smoke for Nick but none for Ramses she's so annoying!! All of them jumping on Nick is so uncalled for."
"Why is Marissa turning up on Nick. Relax girl," another fan commented.
"Marissa is so weird and making a fool out of herself, why do you have so much energy for Nick?" A netizen tweeted.
Many Love is Blind fans were unimpressed by Marissa's treatment of Nick. They were surprised to see her target him, not Ramses, her ex-partner, who called off their engagement.
"Can someone please explain to me why Marissa was more worked up on Nick than she was with Ramses?? Girl you're putting all that energy and frustration into the wrong person tf," a user reacted.
"Seeing Marissa saying that she saw a lot of insecurities in Nick and Hannahs relationship, but not being able to see that Ramses was getting disconnected from her phony a** shows Ramses might have dodged a bullet," a person commented.
"Marissa needs to use that same energy that she has for Nick for Ramses …" Another fan wrote.
"I really felt for Marissa in the last episode but on this reunion she is pissing me off, she has more smoke for Nick then she does for Ramses." One user tweeted.
Meanwhile, some Love is Blind fans disapproved of Marissa's decision to defend Hannah.
"hannah and marissa teaming up because they're unmarried is crazy," a fan reacted.
"I been on Marissa side this whole season but for her to be coming at Nick when Ramses made her look like an idiot is insane. You need to check your mf friend girl." Another netizen commented.
"Be honest at least" — Love is Blind star Marissa accuses Nick of commenting on Hannah's appearance
Hannah revealed Nick called her a "grenade" and "ugly" while discussing her appearance behind her back. When Nick tried to deny the allegation, she asked him to own up to his words. Hannah's "best friend," Marissa, intervened, criticizing him for not taking accountability for "rating her." Marissa confessed it made her doubt Nick's commitment to Hannah.
Nick maintained his innocence, saying he did not call Hannah a "grenade." His stance frustrated Marissa, who said:
"If you're gonna talk, be honest at least."
At that point, the Love is Blind star encouraged the other cast members to stand up for Hannah. Stephen, Monica, Alex, and Ramses confronted Nick and revealed he was lying. They confirmed Nick called Hannah a "grenade." Despite that, he refused to budge from his point.
Marissa admitted Hannah's behavior on the show was inappropriate; however, she refused to let her take all the blame for her and Nick's failed relationship. Marissa said Nick was no "golden retriever puppy dog."
"It's her and it's not him, that he's this golden retriever puppy dog. You're not, Nick. Okay? You said some mean sh*t," she said.
Nick explained he was "underwhelmed" by Hannah's appearance at the reveal but never said she was a "grenade." At that point, Marissa revealed he also called her a "five out of ten." The Love is Blind star defended Hannah till the end, accusing Nick of being in the wrong.
Love is Blind is available to stream exclusively on Netflix.
