"Don't want anybody to swing on each other" — Love & Marriage: Huntsville star Destiny worries about Martell and Marsau's argument turning violent
According to a Deadline report published on January 9, 2024, Martell was arrested for communication harassment on the same day. The Love & Marriage: Huntsville star was upset that the male cast members, Marsau in particular, had not supported or tried to comfort him. In one episode segment, Martell opened up to Destiny about how hurt he was by Marsau's lack of concern.
He revealed that Marsau would go on interviews and say that Martell was arrested because he endangered his ex-partner with inappropriate images. The Love & Marriage: Huntsville star defended himself by saying the allegations were "fake news," and that he was waiting for higher courts to hear his case.
When Destiny urged him to confront Marsau, Martell said he was done being the "nice guy." Later in the episode, Destiny took matters into her own hands and asked Martell to name the group member who had hurt him the most.
At first, Martell tried to dismiss the question with a generic answer, saying he appreciated it when people called to check in on him and felt upset when they did not. However, Destiny insisted that he address Marsau and ask him what he said in the interview.
When questioned, Marsau explained he lost respect for Martell after his arrest, criticizing him for holding onto inappropriate images of his ex-partner. Martell retaliated saying it was untrue and not why he got arrested. The Love & Marriage: Huntsville stars went back and forth trying to prove their point.
At that point, Destiny worried that their argument might turn violent. While speaking to the cameras, the Love & Marriage: Huntsville star said that she was "annoyed" that no one was intervening, making her look like the "referee."
"I just don't want anybody to swing on each other, like that's the last thing I want," she said.
Destiny acknowledged that the big day had gone "out the window." The episode ended on a cliffhanger, but the cast members had yet to resolve their argument.
