Love is Blind: Mexico aired episodes 1 to 4 on August 1, 2024, and has since been making rounds online. The show, which is based in Mexico, has contestants from the entire country. The cast members have participated in the Netflix social experiment to find love. Unlike the US version, the cast members of the regional installment featured cast members who had either been seriously involved with people in the past or were parents.
One such person was Saul, who initially connected with Karen while in the pods but was torn between her and Leticia, aka Leti. He eventually chose the latter, and the two got engaged in episode 2.
However, as their journey progressed, fans saw the couple's differences come to light. While Saul, who was open about being a parent, wanted to pursue a physical relationship, Leti was hesitant. In episode 4, she noted that she wanted to be a good role model for Saul's daughter.
Fans of the show took to social media to react to the segment and reacted to Leti bringing Helena, Saul's daughter, up in conversation while trying to ask him to take things slow. One person wrote on X:
"BRUH SO CRINGE. I’m glad Leti said something! When Saul was seeking intimacy on the show, she responded, “Think of your daughter,” & she’s so right. Imagine your mom/dad on reality tv getting laid. I know she also meant it in another sense but still. #loveisblindmexico," a fan commented.
Not Saúl being mad because Leti told him to think about his 14-year-old daughter when he was trying to climb on top of her the first night in front of the cameras on a reality TV dating show. #loveisblindmexico #loveisblind." Noting Leti's hesitation, Love is Blind: Mexico fans felt that Saul's behavior was "an immediate ick."
"Leti using Saul’s daughter as leverage when it comes to s*x is pretty sh*tty. Just admit it Leti, she isn’t comfortable with him or with herself. #loveisblindmexico," a tweet read.
"Saul saying I wanna rip your dress off to Leti during the initial meet was such a red flag. Like that man has no sense would have been an immediate ICK for me. #loveisblindmexico," a person wrote.
"Did Saul try to undress Leti in the meeting room? OMG. She seemed really uncomfortable. This will not work out. #loveisblindmexico," a fan commented.
"The more pressure Saúl puts on Leti to get physical, the less she will want to do it. He's such a weirdo. He's making the situation worse from himself. #loveisblindMexico #loveisblind," a tweet read.
Love is Blind: Mexico fans further felt the two of them wouldn't be one of the couples who get married at the end of the show:
"Finally got to sit down and watch the 4th episode of #LoveIsBlindMexico and its clear as a day that Saul and Leti aren't going to making it to the alter," a fan commented.
"Saul is such a creep idk he gives me the ick #loveisblindmexico," a person wrote.
"It's important to me to model for her": Leti talks to Silvia about thinking about Saul's daughter in Love is Blind: Mexico episode 4
In Love is Blind: Mexico season 1 episode 4, titled It's Not All Roses, the five engaged couples went to Tulum for their honeymoon, where they got to know each other better. While several couples took this as an opportunity to explore their physical compatibility, that wasn't the case for Saul and Leti. While talking to the group, the couple revealed that they didn't spend their first night together being intimate and that they were taking things slow.
Later, Leti spoke to Silvia about the same and explained that she wanted to think about Helena, Saul's 14-year-old daughter, before doing anything.
"He has a 14-year-old daughter, so it's important to me to model for her that we always have the option to say no," Leti said.
The Love is Blind: Mexico cast member said she wanted Helena to know that women had the option to do it "where" they wanted, "whenever" they wanted, and "however" they wanted, implying that she didn't want her fiancé's daughter to think it was okay to give in to someone else's needs until she was ready.
The Love is Blind: Mexico star elaborated on the same in a confessional:
"It's my feeling that parents should put their daughters first. And think of them when they're out living their lives."
Later in the episode, the Netflix star opened up about her concerns to Saul and said she was worried Helena wouldn't like her. She wondered whether Saul's daughter could be a part of their wedding as a bridesmaid and the latter said it was a sweet "gesture."
Watching the Love is Blind: Mexico episode, fans reacted to Leti thinking of Helena before making any huge decisions and praised her.
Love is Blind: Mexico will drop four more episodes on Thursday, August 8, 2024, exclusively on Netflix.
