Married to Medicine season 11 released episode 9, titled From the White House to Key West, on January 26, 2025. It showcased the cast going on a couples' trip to Key West to rework their group dynamics. Phaedra found herself in a challenging position when the ladies questioned her for calling them "b**ches" in a previous episode.
Phaedra had called the ladies "b**ches" when they questioned her ability to arrange $100K for Jackie's Med Gala. She claimed she was not someone whose performance would disappoint and added that she would arrange the money by all means despite their lack of faith in her skills. The remark did not sit right with the cast, who assumed Phaedra considered herself superior to them.
The latest segment saw Simone bring out T-shirts with the phrase "these kind of b**ches" printed on them to confront Phaedra. When Simone asked if she wished to "redeem" herself, Phaedra said she would never let anyone question her abilities, standing by her comment.
Married to Medicine fans took to X to react to Phaedra getting questioned. While many supported Phaedra, saying she delivered what she had promised for the Med Gala, others believed her comments were often misunderstood.
"Phaedra is definitely accomplished and truthfully speaking and not to diminish the accomplishments of others…being a Dr. is amazing but Phaedra is just top tier. She’s reality TV royalty. She’s a winner baby. Accept that," a fan wrote.
"ATP they are “these type of b**ches”…bc Phaedra kept her word & wrote her check for THEIR charity. If they were that accomplished, they would have been able to raise funds WITHOUT her!" another fan commented.
"Smh so they can call people all kind of damn b**ches but it's an issue when Phaedra does it . She is very educated and a lawyer blah blah Simone is such a child," a netizen tweeted.
Many Married to Medicine fans supported Phaedra, claiming there was nothing demeaning in her comment.
"Quad shut up and let Phaedra read them. Like she said “these kind of b**ches” are weak, boring, sad. Yall were fangirling over Phaedra last season and now yall mad because she has confident yall need to get," a user reacted.
"She doesn't think she's above yall, yall do. Phaedra is accomplished that's why she said what she said but let's face it... she's from a bigger franchise than yall even though she lost her peach. She is AN ICON in the reality tv world," a person commented.
"Yeah, they’re picking with Phaedra and it’s giving pressed and parched," another fan wrote.
Other Married to Medicine fans expressed a similar sentiment.
"This why Phaedra belongs on housewives. Her being different than the medicine ladies got them thinking she thinks she’s better. The vibes are lost in translation," one user posted.
"Its really not that deep. Phaedra don’t really bother the ladies like that so I’m confused why they think she thinks she’s better than them??" a person reacted.
"heavenly calls everybody and they mama, literally, a b**ch. but okay. this is more projection of how the ladies feel about phaedra than anything lol," another commented.
"Most of the things I say are pretty iconic" — Married to Medicine's Phaedra defends herself against the ladies
When Simone asked Phaedra what she meant by calling them "b**ches," Phaedra explained that she reacted when they judged her ability to do her part for the Med Gala. The Married to Medicine star added that "no types of b**hes" could tell her what she could and could not do to accomplish her goals.
At that point, Quad interjected that they were no less than her, claiming they were those kinds of women who got invites to the White House. She criticized Phaedra for minimizing the ladies "in all their glory" and shed light on their professional and personal accomplishments. Despite their discussion, Phaedra did not understand what irked them so much.
While speaking to the cameras, the Married to Medicine star commented on how affected they were by her statement, saying:
"But I'm not surprised because most of the things I say are pretty iconic so..."
During a confessional, Simone criticized Phaedra for thinking she was "definitely" above them and more accomplished than them. Soon after their discussion, the cast headed out for a couples' activity, shifting the group's dynamics.
