Episode 9 of The Masked Singer season 12 was released on November 28, 2024. The episode, themed A Peanuts Thanksgiving, saw Group C going into the finals. It was also a double elimination night, meaning that two of the three participants from Group C were sent packing.

The first contestant from Group C who went into the first round of the finals was the Royal Knight mask. However, she was eliminated and revealed to be country singer Jana Kramer. Following her elimination, the other contestants, Sherlock Hound and Strawberry Shortcake, faced off in a Battle Royale round.

Sherlock Hound was the weaker among the two so he was eliminated, revealing baseball player Bronson Arroyo as the person behind the mask. The two faced off on Shivers by Ed Sheeran, which Strawberry Shortcake sang better.

Fans of The Masked Singer took to X to react to the revelation of Sherlock Hound's identity. They were shocked to see a sportsman sing at par with some of the coveted singers of the industry.

"Shook my whole family by telling them that Bronson Arroyo is on the Masked Singer," said one fan.

Some fans claimed that they were shocked to see the sportsman on the singing reality show while others appreciated his voice as well as his game on the field.

Bronson Arroyo's performance and panelists' guesses on The Masked Singer season 12 episode 9

In the first round of the Group C Finals on The Masked Singer season 12 episode 9, Sherlock Hound sang Ho Hey by The Lumineers.

In this round, he was better than Jana Kramer who sang Holiday by Madonna.

Two panelists guessed out the star before his elimination, despite his status as a sportsperson. Robin Thicke and Ken Jeong both said Bronson Arroyo, while Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg said Scott Stapp, a member of the group, Creed. Rita Ora thought it was the singer Hozier.

In his clue package, Bronson Arroyo hinted at his newly found love, saying that he was thankful for his "life's many chapters, and especially for [my] new gal, [my] sweetheart."

"Making it to the next chapter of this competition, would be a treat," Arroyo said.

He added that he was grateful to have his career. He added that while it had an "expiration date," he was okay with it because he thought everything was meant to dry up someday. The Masked Singer season 12 contestant also expressed gratitude for his personal life and said that he was always on the move and wasn't looking for a home but he found one.

New episodes of The Masked Singer season 12 will be released on Thursdays, at 8 pm ET, on FOX.
