"Showing his age"— Southern Hospitality fans react to Michols' talking about TJ bringing him coffee

Southern Hospitality returned to screens this week with season 3 on January 2, 2025. The segment saw several familiar faces return and also introduced four new cast members, including Republic's new Assistant General Manager, Michols Peña.

In the episode, the new cast member revealed that before the cameras started recording, he and TJ Dinch shared a kiss but that nothing happened afterward. However, in the season 3 premiere, the latter bought him a coffee, which made Michols question what TJ wanted.

Fans of the Bravo reality show commented on Michols' reaction to TJ bringing him coffee online.

"Michols is showing his age with how he’s handling TJ," one person wrote on X.

"I love how Michols is crashing out over a singular iced coffee, oh to be young," a fan commented.

"It’s just a coffee and you’re co-workers. it could be that he was just being thoughtful. i just got done saying michols was mature but his age is showing now. personally, i think he can do better than TJ," a tweet read.

Southern Hospitality season 3 fans were happy with the new cast member.

"Oh Michols is f*cking sexy… I’m gagged he’s only 21. I love that he’s gay too, GET HIM TJ!!!!" a person wrote.

"Out of nowhere, why?"— Michols wonders why TJ bought him a coffee in Southern Hospitality season 3 episode 1

In Southern Hospitality season 3 episode 1, titled, Bottles, Balloons and Betrayal, Michols told Emmy and Maddi that TJ bought him a coffee. He entered the room and told them that he was feeling "very numb" in the moment, and that he was "literally internally sh*tting himself."

The new Southern Hospitality season 3 cast member stated that his heart was "beating out" of his chest. Emmy asked if it was about the coffee.

"Woah, yeah but like out of nowhere, why?" he said.

Maddi asked what he meant and what she had missed out on. Michols told the Southern Hospitality season 3 cast member that TJ brought him a coffee. Maddi asked so what, and told him to drink it. Emmy said it was not "just a coffee" and the new reality star told him what had happened between them.

"We were in an Uber, he kissed me and I was just like "What is this going to be, what does this mean?" We never talked about it, like there was never a conversation," Michols said.

Maddie asked what conversation the two would have had while Emmy asked what TJ's intentions were. She added that if the Southern Hospitality season 3 star was not interested in Michols, he was wasting both their time.

Michols also wondered what he was doing and told the cameras that the night TJ and he went out, it felt like a date. He added that he had started to develop feelings for TJ after they kissed but that the latter kept it "professional," and wondered why he was bringing him a coffee out of nowhere.

Fans of Southern Hospitality season 3 commented on the situation online and the new cast member's behavior in the first episode.
