“SICK bro”—Love After Lockup fans react to Zeruiah’s parent’s house catching fire

Love After Lockup made it to episode 45 of season 5 on November 1. In the Life After Lockup segment, Zeruiah was seen going through tough times after her parents' house caught fire.

She visited the place with Troy and told him how hard it was for her to see it. She also said that it was tough to come to terms with the fact that her family could've died. Troy comforted her as he understood where she was coming from.

After visiting the burnt house, she sat down with her mother, Jahnjae and talked to her about the financial contributions she would make to her wedding. While her mother agreed to help her with the wedding, fans of Love After Lockup criticized Zeruiah for discussing such a matter when her mother's house had been on fire recently. They took to X to react to the fire and Zeruiah's question.

"OMG. Zeruiah is SICK bro … This H0 talking about Ms.Cleo predicted the fire at her parents' house This lady needs help frfr!" said one fan.

"Zeuriah mom said it was witchcraft and later that night the house caught on fire," said another fan.

"Zeruiah brought them demons in her parents' house & that’s what caused that fire! Don’t at me. I’m still unpacking years of the church doctrine," a third one added.

"OMG!! Zeruiah's parent's house caught fire! I hope everyone is okay!" another wrote.

Some Love After Lockup fans called out Zeruiah for asking for money for her wedding from her parents at the time when their house had burned.

"While her parents are rebuilding their home after a fire, Zeruiah wants to talk about how they will financially help with the wedding cost," an X user wrote.

"Zeruiah really is crazy as hell. You & your man need work! You need a steady check…abt to be homeless. Your parents' house burned badly & you decide to ask your mom what they are contributing to the wedding?!" another X user wrote.

"Zeruiah girl EVERY SINGLE FRIDAY I? What the f*ck is wrong with U, but now I truly know U are mentally ill your parent’s home has burned down (everything you knew as a child has been destroyed) and U want 2 discuss w/your mom her helping pay for a wedding," commented one.

"Zeruiah worried about everything except having custody of her son and her acne; your parents raised your child their house was on fire and you worried about them assisting you with the wedding," another commented.

The conversation between Zeruiah and her mother on Love After Lockup season 5 episode 45

In Love After Lockup episode 45, Zeruiah visited her mom Jahnjae after the fire incident. While in a conversation with her parent, the cast member asked for financial help with her wedding. She said she didn't have enough to have a big wedding. Her mom said she was going to help her with it.

Zeruiah then told her mom that she was going to get her biological father to walk her down the aisle. In a confessional on Love After Lockup, Zeruiah spoke about the time when she was three and her mom revealed that she was adopted. She further said her biological mother had given her up for adoption because the latter was only 16 when she gave birth to her daughter.

Zeruiah then revealed about contacting her birth mother, but the latter refused to have any connections with her. Her biological father, however, liked keeping in touch.

Later in the episode, Zeruiah teared up talking about how grateful she was to have the parents who adopted her because they loved and cared for her.
