Big Brother aired its latest episode on Sunday, September 29, 2024. The segment featured the houseguests competing against one another in the Head of Household (HoH) competition. It was a 30-piece tiny puzzle that they had to rebuild using tweezers.
Makensy outshined the others as she became the HoH for week 11. At the end of the episode, she nominated Kimo and Rubina for the upcoming elimination. Ahead of the telecasted episodes, the Live Feeds available on Paramount+ revealed the results of the Power of Veto (PoV) ceremony.
HoH Makensy won the PoV in a classic BB Comics Veto challenge. While the other contestants lost despite commendable attempts, one houseguest's performance disappointed the HoH and her ally, Chelsie. Cam finished last, leading Makensy and Chelsie to believe he was throwing comps.
Later, Makensy lost her cool when Cam admitted he had to take a break mid-challenge because his back hurt. Consequently, Makensy debated if she should nominate Cam, taking Rubina off the block. Big Brother fans took to X to react to Cam's confession and performance in the Veto comp.
"Cam is so babygirl coded. How're you going to take a 30 minute break in the middle of a comp I get the disgust from MJ and Chelsie like get up and work!" a fan wrote.
"He took a break?? Cam's entire time in the house has been one giant break!!" another fan commented.
"Put him up just for taking a break! Then the vote splits and MJ saves him. Teach him a lesson to cut the c*ap and do something," a netizen tweeted.
Many Big Brother fans criticized Cam for consistently not performing in competitions. They claimed taking a break during a timed challenge was too extreme.
"Why would Cam take a break? My man how do you mess an easy route to the final 3 like this?" a person commented.
"CAM HAS YET LOST ANOTHER COMP WHICH THIS WAS THE ONLY ONE HE MIGHTVE HAD THE BEST SHOT AT," another fan wrote.
At the same time, some Big Brother fans thought Cam should not have exposed himself to Makensy and Chelsie so close to the Veto ceremony.
"Cam is too honest because baby why would you tell these paranoid humans that you took a goddamn rest on the middle of the comp? That's crazy!!" a user tweeted.
"Cam is so not self aware that he admits to everyone he took a break during timed pov comp going into final 4. No one should ever be THAT comfortable in BB house. I would look at cam sideways too," another person reacted.
Big Brother star Cam claims he would never purposely lose a competition
The Live Feeds revealed Chelsie and Makensy's conversation where the duo expressed concern over Cam's performance inside the Big Brother house. After the Veto comp, they were convinced Cam purposely lost because he had other plans.
Makensy and Chelsie believed that Cam was trying to eliminate either of them by getting in the good books of Rubina. That way, he could enter the final three and win the show. Makensy and Chelsie felt Cam made it so far in the competition only because of their help.
Disappointed with the Big Brother cast member's performance, HoH Makensy and Chelsie wondered how a 25-year-old D1 athlete lost an "easy" challenge. Most recently, they confronted Cam, questioning his approach to the game. Visibly frustrated, Cam said:
"Do you think I'm just f**king like whoopty-doo? I like losing? When in my life have I ever wanted to lose anything?
When Makensy pointed out that sometimes Big Brother houseguests strategize and throw comps, Cam said he was not "that type of person." He added that he would not have made it so far "by losing intentionally." He claimed he was not "wired that way," and was fully aware that he was losing challenges.
Chelsie explained that Rubina could backdoor either her or Makensy if she earned some power in the coming week, and while Cam said he would prioritize them, he needed to win a competition to get the power to do that. In the end, Cam admitted he understood the importance of comps and would try to up his game.
Big Brother airs on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays on CBS.
