Netflix's popular show The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On released the first five episodes of Season 3 on Wednesday, December 4, 2024. Episode 5 saw many relationships turn for the worse. One such relationship belonged to Scotty and his trial marriage partner, Zaina. Zaina started questioning her bond with Scotty after he criticized her for eating without him.

Scotty, Aria's original boyfriend, and Zaina, J.R.'s former girlfriend, coupled up for their trial marriage because they found qualities in each other that their previous partners lacked. Scotty and Zaina were both ultimatum givers in their relationships, determined to marry and start a family.

Although they started on a pleasant note, their connection took a turn, when Scotty questioned Zaina for eating without him. He looked at her in disapproval and confessed that it was not a trait he expected his trial wife to have. Zaina was caught off guard by his demeanor and wondered what she did to bother him so much.

The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On fans took to X to criticize Scotty's reaction. While many disapproved of his behavior toward Zaina, others were shocked to hear him question someone's eating habits.

"Scotty acting like that when he found out Zaina ate was so childish. It's so fascinating that Netflix constantly finds these type of men for their shows. And the Sandy types," a fan wrote.

In one segment of Episode 5, Just Here For A Hall Pass? Scotty told Zaina that they should try some outdoor activities. When he suggested that they go on a hot-air balloon ride, Zaina protested, saying that it would cause her "major anxiety." She explained that she would not enjoy it and would "freak out."

Scotty then proposed cryotherapy as an alternative. However, Zaina was not keen on trying that either.

"What I know about me is that I don't like being cold. So, that's something I don't enjoy fundamentally," she said.

The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On star's repeated refusals displeased Scotty. He retorted, asking Zaina if her ideal date was going out to "dinner and sh*t," to which she replied that she was open to trying new stuff.

When Scotty demeaned her for sounding "disgusted" by his ideas, she defended herself by stating that she was not too eager to go on dates that either involved "extreme cold" or occurred in the air.

Although she appreciated his effort, Scotty was unhappy with her rejection.

"I have a problem with rejection. I think, in part, it's because I got so much validation as a kid," he said.

Their conversation worsened when The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On star asked Zaina if she had eaten without him. When Zaina explained that she ate because she thought Scotty had already eaten, the latter frowned at her in disapproval.

"This is just not...Not what I was looking for in a trial wife. Someone that just eats without me," he said.

Zaina was surprised to hear the change in Scotty's tone and wondered why he behaved that way.
