"So fake"— Love is Blind: Habibi fans react to Mido's apology to Nour at the reunion

The reunion episode of Love is Blind: Habibi was released on Netflix on Friday, November 1, 2024. The participants joined hosts Khaled Saqer and Elhan Ali to reflect on their time in the pods and more. While each came on the show to find their life partner, some failed to sustain their connections and formalize their relationships.

During the reunion, former couples faced each other and had difficult conversations with one another. One such pair was Nour and Mido. Mido ended his relationship with Nour at the vacation resort because he felt she was not as committed as he was. However, Nour believed she remained true to herself throughout the show.

At the reunion, Mido confronted Nour, confessing he made a "mistake" by being with her. He criticized her fixation with material things, appearance, character, lifestyle, and her desire to have a husband who would spoil her. Mido claimed he would never keep a "housewife" with such standards and stated that Nour used him to get to the resort to meet her initial connection, Chafic.

Nour defended herself on all fronts, refusing to engage with Mido further. However, towards the end of the episode, Mido apologized to Nour for speaking inappropriately to her in the heat of the moment. Nour accepted his apology, considering it to be a brave gesture. The former couple shook hands and decided to move on.

Love is Blind: Habibi fans took to X to comment on Mido's apology. One fan on X tweeted:

Several fans shared their take on Mido's apology.

Many Love is Blind: Habibi fans were unimpressed by Mido's apology after he decided to humiliate Nour at the reunion.

"Mido apologised because he knew all his drama did not phase nour and she ate his short a** down. so to save some of his clownery he apologised lmao," a user reacted.

"The way i laughed when mido walked for a handshake and Noor stayed in her seat and to think mido bullied her the whole reunion just to play nice guy in the end Rubbish," a person commented.

At the same time, some Love is Blind: Habibi fans criticized Asma for applauding Mido's gesture and called her out for not speaking up when the male cast member demeaned Nour.

Towards the end of the reunion special, the hosts asked if anyone had anything to say to each other, to which Mido replied. "I want to say something Elham." The cast member confessed he owed Nour an apology for his treatment of her at the reunion. He admitted he was not at his best and should not have spoken "roughly" to the female cast member.

The Love is Blind: Habibi star explained that his reactions resulted from unresolved feelings that could not surface before. He was disappointed by Nour's lack of initiative and was upset that he was the only person committed to their relationship. However, he admitted it did not justify his behavior toward her. Consequently, he apologized to her again.

"I spoke inappropriately, I was hurt," he said.

At that point, his Love is Blind: Habibi co-star, Asma clapped and complimented Mido's gesture, saying, "Mido I love this. Honestly." She praised him for taking accountability.

Nour appreciated his gesture and said:

"I consider it brave to apologize, because it's easy to hurt people, but it's hard to apologize. So, I certainly accept your apology."

Mido walked over to Nour to shake her hand, hoping they could move on from their argument and leave all the negativity in the past. The Love is Blind: Habibi star thanked Nour for accepting his apology while shaking her hand.

Likewise, Chafic and Dounia asked the hosts and other cast members for forgiveness for raising their voices and overreacting in certain situations.
