Love & Marriage: Huntsville season 9 episode 9 came out on December 28. Titled Open House, Closed Mouths, the episode documented Tricia sitting down with Kimmi, where she revealed new information on Martell and her link-up.
In the previous episodes, it was revealed that Tricia went to Martell's house, all alone, after he divorced Mel, and she separated from Marques. Upon an interrogation from the cast, Tricia revealed that she had gone there to train him.
In episode 9, when she sat down with Kimmie, she revealed that attending Martell's Open House was awkward because of the rumors about them. She added that Chris Fletcher, Martell and Melody's family friend, was the one trying to get them together back when they had divorced.

Fans of Love & Marriage: Huntsville took to X to react to Tricia's claims. Some believed her and criticized Chris for doing so, others questioned the claims.
"I thought LaTricia & Martell knew each other from her dating a friend or family member back in the day. Now it's Fletcher? She is so messy," a fan said.
"So why didn’t Trisha said Fletcher tried to hook Martell and her up from the beginning?" said another.

Details on Tricia's revelation to Kimmi on Love & Marriage: Huntsville season 9 episode 9
The revealing conversation went down when Tricia went to see Kimmi regarding the commercial space she was trying to look for, to set up her gym. The Love & Marriage: Huntsville star told Kimmi that she discovered later that Martell was trying to use gym training as an excuse to get together with Tricia.
She also divulged that it was Chris Fletcher who was trying to get them together. She explained this saying that while working out, Martell told her that it was Chris who kept telling him to reach out to her.
Tricia said that Chris trying to set them up four years ago, when Martell and Mel's separation was still fresh, was "weird". Then when Kimmi asked her if she had confronted Chris about this, Tricia said she hadn't and that she thought it was awkward, which was why she didn't want to go to Martell's open house.
