“So PROUD” — Love is Blind Habibi fans praise Karma for choosing to dance over Ammar

Love is Blind Habibi premiered with its nine episodes on October 10. With its release on Netflix, this show became the first-ever Middle Eastern version of the coveted dating reality show, Love is Blind.

Ammar and Karma were among the couples who got engaged in the pods and then moved on to their vacation phase at a resort in Dubai. While they were still in the pods, Ammar had asked Chafic to stay away from Karma because he was interested in her, and Chafic obliged. At the time, Ammar had known Karma was a dancer.

However, during their vacation phase in episode 5, Ammar expressed his disapproval of Karma continuing with her passion for dance after their marriage. He said he would never accept his wife being a dancer.

By episode 6, Karma had made her decision; she met with Ammar at a restaurant to tell him she had chosen to dance and couldn't continue their relationship. Fans of Love is Blind Habibi took to X to praise Karma for sticking to her passion.

"I'm so PROUD of Karma for choosing herself," one fan said.

"Yes Karma!!! May the world bring you joy and happiness and one of those respectful 'not real men' what an *sshat that man was," a third chimed in.

Some Love is Blind Habibi fans criticized Ammar for being controlling and appreciated Karma for recognizing that in him.

"Karma proved me wrong... I thought she will be one of those girls that seems a bit delusional but sis really stood on business and Ammar never liked him he was always moving way too fast and the way he took away karma's decisions by blocking her potentials," an X user wrote.

Exploring the conversation between Ammar and Karma regarding her love for dance in Love is Blind Habibi

In episode 5 of Love is Blind Habibi, Ammar and Karma sat down at the table and the latter said she was going to juggle between her business, dance and theater. Ammar suggested that she should stick to her business because he didn't like her dancing. He said he was okay with her dancing in front of the mirror.

When Karma revealed that she had performed in front of an audience before, Ammar was taken aback. He made it clear that he wouldn't accept a wife who danced. She asked him to rest the conversation for now because they didn't want to make a hasty decision.

Then in episode 6, Karma and Ammar met at a restaurant and she told him they shouldn't continue together because he wouldn't accept a woman who danced. Karma added that she chose dance, art, and she chose her life.

Ammar said that she wouldn't find a real man with that mentality and disapproved of her choosing dancing over love. Karma wished he had taken the rejection more respectfully, instead of being rude to her. She said she loved her spirit and as a human being, God created her free.
