Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5 released Episode 11, Much Ado About Crushing, on Monday, December 16, 2024. The episode saw the crew prepare for the primary charter guest, Ronnie's 50th birthday party. They prepared gold and black decorations for a "Studio 50"-themed event, unaware of Ronnie's no-black rule. She instantly rejected the idea and asked them to prepare something new.

Ronnie's experience on the yacht had been unpleasant so far. In Episode 10, she was stung by a jellyfish and unimpressed by the dining setup. She was often displeased by the food and beverages served to her and her group. As a result, the Below Deck Sailing Yacht crew wished to impress Ronnie with the party, hoping to better her experience.

However, their attempts failed when Ronnie criticized their decor and asked them to change it. She explained that gold and black made her feel "over the hill." Ronnie added that she wanted to celebrate her birthday with "glam," reiterating that she was not past her prime.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht fans took to X to comment on Ronnie's criticism. While many called her out for asking for unnecessary changes, others felt she could have requested the changes politely.

"This charter is soooo annoying - You freak out about black & gold decorations - You send back every coffee you get Rich people…." a fan wrote.
"Ole girl is becoming unglued over the black n gold decorations.." another fan commented.
"Can someone throw the primary off the boat? She’s a b**ch," a netizen tweeted.

Many Below Deck Sailing Yacht fans criticized Ronnie's behavior, saying she could have specified her preferences before.

"That would of pissed me off as a worker. She could of specified before hand any colors except for black and gold," a user reacted.
"Black and gold look nice together. She is clearly sensitive about turning 50. If you wanted specific colors, request them nicely," a person commented.
"This charter guest said it's a hard past on the black and gold decor since it's her bday not her funeral," another fan wrote.

Other Below Deck Sailing Yacht fans expressed a similar sentiment.

"ummmm when u google studio 54….black & gold decorations come up lol" one user posted.
"The primary guest was just being difficult but she did leave a big tip, so there’s that," a person reacted.

"I'm not dead" — Below Deck Sailing Yacht charter guest Ronnie comments on her birthday decorations

Danni and Diana, working hard to set up the ribbons and balloons, confessed that they did not know what Studio 50 meant. Regardless, the stewardesses wished that their work impressed the primary guest. However, their hopes quickly crumbled when Ronnie walked up to the deck and dismissed their entire plan.

At first glance, Ronnie was pleased to see the gold-colored props and decorative items. However, when she approached the deck and saw the black additions, she said:

"Uh-oh, they're putting black. I do not want black. No black, I can't, no."

Although she thanked the Below Deck Sailing Yacht stewardesses for their hard work, she reiterated that she did not want the gold and black combination at her party. It reminded her of her age and made her feel she was behind the times.

While speaking to the cameras, Danni expressed frustration over the guest's preferences, wondering who disliked black. Meanwhile, Ronnie said:

"I'm not dead. I'm alive. Let's celebrate with glam. Gold, white, rose gold would've nailed it."

She also requested the crew to change the placemats to white instead of black. When Danni conveyed the change of plans to Daisy, she wondered if Ronnie was "drunk." Regardless, the stewardesses got to work and changed the entire decor. The final result impressed Ronnie, who praised their efforts.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht airs every Monday on Bravo at 9 pm ET.
