The Traitors UK season 3 returned with episode 4 on Wednesday, January 8, 2025. It saw the three contestants who disembarked the train en route to the castle in the first episode return to fight for another chance at joining the show's cast. Fozia, Alexander, and Jack, each pleaded their case, however, the current players decided to save Fozia and Alexander, ending Jack's journey on the series.
The opening scenes revealed that Fozia, Jack, and Alexander were not eliminated but kept hidden after being carried away by gold-masked figures in a "rail-replacement" horse-drawn carriage during the show's premiere.
Wednesday's episode saw the trio make a comback with their fates rested in the hands of the other players. Confined in cages, suspending from treetops, Fozia, Alexander, and Jack battled against one another to reach the ground. It was upto the current players to collect gold coins and lower the cage of the person they thought deserved a chance to rejoin the cast.
Although it was a close competition, Jack lost to Fozia and Alexander, ending his time on the competitive series. The Traitors UK fans were unimpressed by the cast's decision not to support Jack. They took to X to express disappointment over Jack's elimination, hoping he made a return sometime in the future.
"Jack???? Our Yorkshire, 6ft5, garden hero. I am sorry they failed you. They are all traitors now in my eyes x," a fan wrote.
"Up there with the saddest sight you’ll see on a Reality TV show …. Poor Jack," another fan commented.
"Justice for Jack, bring him back in episode 6!" a netizen tweeted.
The Traitors UK fans were unhappy with Jack's elimination. They sympathized with him for not getting the chance to participate in the game properly.
"imagine being accepted onto the traitors, losing your place on the show, being held up for four days, getting another chance at being on the show, and then LOSING again poor jack," a user reacted.
"Shame. Think Jack would have been good for the game," a person commented.
"Absolutely gutted for Jack - favourite player of The Traitors and he was barely in it!" another fan wrote.
"Jack should get a free pass straight to season 4 bless him," one user posted.
Other fans of The Traitors UK expressed a similar sentiment.
"Buggar I liked Jack, hope they bring him back as a Traitor that would be BADA**," a person reacted.
"Watching Jack go has broken my little Yorkshire heart," another netizen commented.
"Gutted" — The Traitors UK star Jack on his elimination
Jack stepped off the train with Alexander and Fozia in episode 1 of The Traitors UK, sacrificing his position in the game to protect the cash prize reserved for the winner. Despite that, all three of those contestants were given an opportunity to return to the show. The latest segment saw Fozia, Jack, and Alexander compete against one another for a spot in the competition.
However, it all depended on the current players and their preferences. They had to collect sacks of gold coins and insert them in a machine to lower the cage of the player they wished to save.
Fozia was the first player whose cage touched the ground, followed by Alexander's, leaving Jack suspended in the air. While reflecting on his elimination, the 24-year-old market trader and landscaper said:
"Gutted. Absolutely gutted. But, yeah I'm happy for them but this has been one big wake up call as to how brutal The Traitors can actually be."
With the completion of the challenge, the players not only added £6,500 to their prize fund but also won the freedom of Fozia and Alexander. Claudia Winkleman, the show's host, announced that since Fozia and Alexander had just joined, they would not get a vote at the roundtable and were exempt from banishment and murder.
The Traitors UK season 3 airs at 9 pm every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, exclusively on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
