"Speaks volumes to me" — The Real Housewives of Orange County fans react to Eddie policing Tamra's drinking

The Real Housewives of Orange County season 18 released its latest episode, The Elephant in the Room, on Thursday, September 26, 2024. Katie and her husband, Matt Ginella, hosted a couples' dinner party at their home, which most cast members attended.

However, the event turned chaotic when Tamra Judge accused Jennifer Pedranti's partner, Ryan Boyajian, of allegedly speaking negatively about her husband, Eddie's business on a podcast. Although Jenn and Ryan refuted the allegation, Tamra insisted they were being untruthful. Their argument escalated and Tamra further accused Ryan of commenting on her role as a mother.

Before the clash, the cast members chatted and indulged in alcoholic beverages. While the others seemed aware of their intake, Eddie appeared worried about Tamra's. He pulled his wife aside, requesting her to slow down. However, when he saw that his request failed to bring any fruition, he asked Katie's husband, Matt, the host, not to serve Tamra anymore.

Tamra had previously been critical of Shannon's addiction, humiliating her on several occasions, calling The Real Housewives of Orange County star an "alcoholic." However, when fans saw that Tamra herself needed her husband's policing, they took to X to express their views.

The first ones to arrive at the party were Emily and her husband, Shane. Tamra and Eddie, and Jenn and Ryan arrived soon. Before their guests came, Katie warned Matt about the tiff between Ryan and Eddie, fearing they might clash at the event.

Ryan and Eddie shared an uncomfortable greeting when they saw each other. Ryan went in for a hug, but Eddie refused to oblige. Meanwhile, Matt asked their guests about their drinking preferences. Tamra ordered a dirty martini but Eddie chose to have sparkling water.

When Shane asked Eddie if he did not drink, the latter said:

"Not unless I have to tolerate the environment."

As the guests got comfortable, Eddie pulled Tamra and requested The Real Housewives of Orange County star to pace herself on the drinks. He realized it was time for him to intervene since she had already drunk a considerable amount.

In another scene, The Real Housewives of Orange County star unknowingly spilled a drink while trying to help Matt at the bar. Despite that, Tamra continued to drink, which worried the other cast members.

"Last time, Tamra got super drunk like this, I literally had a napkin thrown at my face. So I hope everybody holds onto their napkins tonight," Jenn said.

Fearing further damage, Eddie secretly approached Matt, asking him not to serve any more alcohol to Tamra.
