Below Deck Mediterranean season 9 aired its finale, titled, Happily Ever Aft, on Monday, September 23, 2024. The segment saw Joe Bradley and newcomer Carrie O'Neil get closer, which made Joe's former love interest Bri Muller uncomfortable.
She expressed frustrations about the situation in a confessional. She said while she didn't have an issue with the two flirting, she was uncomfortable having to witness it so close to her. She later spoke to Joe about it.
Below Deck fans commented on Bri confronting Joe in the season finale online and praised her for standing up for herself. One person wrote on X:
"Bri to Joe - “Don’t say you respect me if you don’t show me that” Bri standing on business with Joe!"
"Bri looked ready to kick Joe and Carrie out of the van! That would've been hilarious tbh," a fan commented.
"YAS BRI. YAAAAS," a tweet read.
Some Below Deck Mediterranean season 9 fans felt Bri was better off without Joe:
"if you have to tell a man more than once to stop disrespecting you. you’re better off without him. i understand how bri feels but i wish my girl would’ve paid him dust and acted more unbothered. don’t let him play in your face," a person wrote.
"Bri is just as ridiculous as Ellie about Joe. He’s a F-boy you both claim to be over all the time - yet you turn into crazy people. Bri it’s called a one night stand no one else knows you had - so how is that making you look dumb? You wanted a hook up - you got 1," a fan commented.
"I still can't believe that Bri was openly crashing out after seeing Joe and Carrie all over each other and I also can't believe, that Carrie actually allowed Joe to be all over her, despite having knowledge that she'd be his 3ʳᵈ play thing on the boat. Just wow," a tweet read.
Below Deck Mediterranean season 9 fans further said:
"In Joe’s defense, I don’t think anyone knows Bri’s real name was Sabrina either. But at the same time, none of us have shared a bathroom the same way they have…" a person wrote.
"bri baby i like you but when you entertain a clown. you become a part of the circus and i really hate that for you. you better drop that man-child like an anchor. trust me there is way better "deck" out there girl," a fan commented.
"Problem that they're doing it in front of me": Below Deck Mediterranean star Bri feels "annoyed" watching Joe and Carrie flirt in season 9 finale
In Below Deck Mediterranean season 9 episode 17, the cast went out for their final group outing. While the cast was divided into two cars, Bri found herself in the same vehicle as Joe and Carrie as they grew closer.
She expressed her discontentment about the same while in a confessional. Bri said that seeing the two Below Deck Mediterranean season 9 cast members brought back "bad memories."
"It's not a problem that they're flirting, it's just a problem that they're doing it in front of me," she said.
Bri Muller stated she previously brought it up with Joe. As they reached their destination, she said she wanted to get out of the van quickly. She yelled at Joe and Carrie to "get out" and told Johnathan she needed a drink.
Ellie asked her what happened and the Below Deck Mediterranean season 9 star said she was "annoyed" and jealous. She said she felt like she was "stuck" in her worst nightmare.
At the club, Joe apologized to Bri but she asked him to "shut up." When Joe said he respected her, she asked him not to say it if he couldn't "show" it to her. She asked him not to flirt with Carrie in front of her.
Fans reacted to Bri's behavior on social media and were divided by it. While some praised her for confronting Joe, others felt differently.
