"Stop reaching"— Sister Wives fans react to Kody's comments about David talking to Robyn

Sister Wives season 19 aired episode 9 this week on TLC. The segment saw Kody Brown and his one remaining wife Robyn Brown attend Gwendlyn’s engagement party where they met with his former wife Christine and her new boyfriend David.

This marked Kody's first meeting with David and they spoke about David's involvement in Kody and Christine's kids' lives. However, Kody felt Christine's boyfriend had more "eye contact" with Robyn than David did with him.

The TLC reality show's viewers commented on the exchange online and felt Kody was reading too much into the situation. One person wrote on X:

Fans of Sister Wives season 19 criticized Kody commenting on David having eye contact with Robyn:

"Well that was awkward! Kody, Robyn, Christine and David!! But once again Kody talks so highly about Robyn and negatively about Christine!" a fan commented.

Kody meets David in Sister Wives season 19 episode 9

In Sister Wives season 19 episode 9, titled. Baptism by Fire, Christine introduced her boyfriend David to her ex-husband Kody Brown, and his wife Robyn Brown. Chiming in on the situation, Robyn told the cameras that when they saw her and Kody, they knew it was the right time to introduce them.

"And I know everybody was staring at us," she added.

Kody Brown asked the Sister Wives season 19 star's boyfriend how long they had been together. Christine and David said they had been together for almost two months. Kody further asked David if he knew the kids and Christine said he did. Christine and Kody's daughter, Mykelti added that he babysat her kids by himself once while she and Christine went to get pedicures.

David explained he had a big family himself including 10 grandchildren. He added that he also had eight children so he was used to a lot of kids. He added that he liked children and that large groups of people didn't bother him.

In a joint confessional with Christine, David recalled Kody asking him about his relationship with the Brown kids. He stated the first thing Kody said to him was "I heard you hold my grandkids."

"Then Mykelti says he does more than that, he babysat them. Then he got really red in the face," David added.

Kody Brown also chimed in on meeting Christine's boyfriend in a confessional. The Sister Wives season 19 cast member said it was "interesting" that David made "more eye contact" with Robyn and spoke to her "way more" than Kody. Kody further asked David about his child and David said his eldest child was 34 years old. He further said his oldest grandchild was 13 years old.

Gwendlyn told the cameras that if David and her mother got married like they planned to, he was going to be around a lot. She said that was why it was important for her father, Kody to meet David.

Fans of the reality show called Kody and David's first meeting "awkward" online and were critical of Kody's comments about David speaking to Robyn.
