"Stupid twist"— The Traitors US fans react to Wes, Boston Rob, and Derrick's late entry

The Traitors US returned to screens this week with season 3. As part of the premiere, the Peacock show aired its first three episodes on January 9, 2024, but, starting next week, it will air one episode per week every Thursday.

In episode 1, Alan introduced Boston Rob from Survivor as one of the cloaked people he entered the show with. However, for Rob to be a part of the show, a contestant had to shake the host's hand and eliminate any of the existing contestants. Since nobody took the bait, Rob did not join the season 3 cast.

However, in episode 2, Rob, along with two others, Wes Bergmann from The Challenge and Derrick Levasseur from Big Brother entered the show as cast members.

Fans of the Peacock show reacted to the three new additions online and were upset by the twist. One person wrote on X:

"I’m most annoyed that Derrick, Wes, & Rob are entering late. Why is production treating them like some sort of extra special participant? Most people I know can’t stand any of them. Stupid twist."

"why did we have to waste such a great potential cast by adding wes, rob and derrick," a fan commented.

"Why couldn’t they bring in another “iconic” woman as an additional player? Putting Wes, Boston Rob and Derrick, who by the way is very overrated, as the center of attention was super corny," a tweet read.

Fans of the reality show called the new additions the "nastiest downgrade" in history:

"Replacing Dorinda with Rob, Wes and Derrick is one of the nastiest downgrades in reality tv history…" a person wrote.

"i’m sorry but I think I got whiplash when Alan said Boston Rob, Wes from the Challenge, and Derrick BB16 are all joining the game?! parched from lack of estrogen over here," a fan commented.

"Rob Wes and Derrick? This is such a potential downfall horribly i cannot with these horrid men," a tweet read.

Some fans showed excitement over their entry:

"Holy Cr*p! Wes (the challenge), Boston Rob (Survivor), and Derrick L(Big Brother) all coming into The Traitors season 3!!!!! 3 of my faves from 3 of my favorites shows coming together!" a person wrote.

"I fricken love Boston Rob he is the best all time of every damn show he’s been on !! Love you Rob so happy you are on my screen again , omg Wes & Derrick , this season is going to be good !!!!" a fan commented.

The Traitors US season 3 welcomes three new cast members in episode 2

In The Traitors US season 3 episode 2, the cast went to the first to compete in their next mission which could win them three shields and also bags of coins. They players were tasked with confiscating the bags and placing them in the tubes assigned to the new cast members. If there were enough coins in the newcomers' bags, they could give out the shields to a player of their choice.

The Traitors US season 3 cast earned three shields and increased the prize fund by $15,000. After the first banishment of the Peacock show which sent Wells Adams home, the new cast members gave out shields that protected contestants from getting murdered.

Derrick gave his shield to Zac Efron's brother Dylan, while Wes gave his shield to Jeremy. Rob saved his friend and fellow Survivor alum Tony by giving him a shield.

Fans of The Traitors US season 3 commented on the late entries online and were unhappy to see three men join the cast.
