"Such a fake performance"- Big Brother season 26 fans divided by Angela's rant against Matt

Big Brother season 26 aired a brand new episode this week on Wednesday, July 24, 2024. During the segment, Angela yelled at Matt in front of the entire house for trying to "dethrone" her after she won HoH. In a confessional, she recalled the cast member "threatening" her in private. While the alleged threat wasn't included in the episode, Angela's rant and Matt's reaction were featured in Wednesday's episode.

Fans of the CBS show took to social media to react to the situation and were divided by the segment. While some felt Angela was right, others believed she took it a little too far by calling the male houseguest "crazy eyes." One person commented on Matt crying on X:

Big Brother season 26 fans were upset with the way the segment was edited and pointed out that the cast members had come to a resolution which was featured in the live feeds:

"They didn't show Angela's apology to Matt's beloveds? Oh they are really pushing the Angela villain edit I fear. #BB26," a person wrote.

Angela screams at Matt in Big Brother season 26 episode 4

In Big Brother season 26 episode 4, despite picking Kenney as her target in the Dairy Room, Angela was apprehensive about Matt and hoped he was on his best behavior towards her.

As the episode progressed, Angela grew increasingly upset with Matt's behavior because the latter wasn't being nice to her. While in conversation with Chelsie and Joseph, she said that Matt wouldn't even "hug" her and proceeded to make fun of him. She mimicked his facial expressions and called him "Crazy Eyes."

The following morning, the Big Brother season 26's HoH, Angela Murray, started her day by attacking Matt in a long monologue.

"I'm so flattered that I'm a threat to you, Crazy Eyes!," she said.

Angela also believed that her conversation with Quinn and Joseph the previous night was orchestrated by Matt and thanked the "visitors" who came to speak to her previously.

In a confessional, Quinn expressed his disbelief with Angela's behavior and explained that they weren't lying and wanted her to be a part of 'The Collective' alliance.

"I would love for the houseguests to know how 'Crazy Eyes', how he very aggressively threatened me verbally in my room on our one-on-one," Angela said.

The Big Brother season 26 contestant added that Matt told her that he would "put her on the block" if she nominated him.

"I did not threaten Angela, I thought we smoothed things over, it's clearly not the case," Matt told the cameras.

After watching the episode, Big Brother season 26 fans were divided by the fight, especially those who had watched the argument unfold on Live Feeds. While fans criticized both contestants, they felt production deliberately edited the segment to make Angela out to be the "villain."
