“SUPER cringey”- Deal or No Deal Island fans react to Sydnee hitting on David

Season 2 of Deal or No Deal Island premiered on January 7. The first episode titled The Banker Strikes Back, introduced the brand new contestants. It also saw them go through their first challenge and their first deal with the new banker.

The first challenge had the contestants choose between the three sides of a pyramid. Side one had suitcases with the highest amount, side two had cases with medium amounts, while the third side had suitcases with the least amount, alongside one 'swap' and one 'steal' suitcase.

The team whose suitcase total was the least would be up for elimination, while the player with the highest amount in their suitcase would be safe. David got the swap suitcase, and the team with the medium amount didn't want David to be on the team with the least amount, as they didn't want to see him get eliminated.

So they offered him the suitcase which had the highest amount in their team, but David refused it because he wanted to go for the suitcase which had the highest amount in the game. This made Sydnee, from the highest amount team say, "He's so hot it's stupid".

Later in the episode, when they share the same dome, Sydnee wants him to be her partner and even asks him to not leave her. David Fans of Deal or No Deal Island came to X to react to this.

"Sydnee on Deal or No Deal Island is SUPER cringey thirsting over David," a fan said.

"Sydnee’s giving serious stalker vibes. Watch out David," said another person.

"Sydnee’s crush on David is giving me second hand embarrassment," added another person.

"Sydney girl where did the binder go FOCUS ON THE BINDER NOT THE MEN," another person wrote.

Many fans of Deal or No Deal Island mentioned that David was married, which made Sydnee's crush on him "embarrassing."

"Sydnee are you playing to win money or are you playing to win love (with a married man with four kids who lives across the pond)?" an X user wrote.

"I get the David appeal but Sydnee is so embarrassing that man is married girl and if he’s cheating it’s with Parvati I fear," another user wrote.

"Oh I hope the cameras are still rolling when David’s wife catches Sydnee when her thirsty dumbass gets voted off the island," commented one netizen.

"Sydnee, he's married. Bye girl," another netizen wrote.

The Banker's Pyramid Scheme challenge on Deal or No Deal Island season 2 premiere

In the challenge to choose among the three sides of the pyramid, Joe, the host, told the contestants that the ones who were going for the red side, the risky side with the lowest amount could take a zipline to the floating pyramid.

The ones who chose the side with the medium amount could take an easy but long path through the jungle, while the ones who opted for the highest amount would have to skip through floating rocks on the water to get to the pyramid with the suitcase.

Phillip, Sydnee, Lete, and Parvati went for the side with the highest amount, out of which Lete's suitcase was swapped by David who thought it contained the highest amount of $1 million. The suitcase didn't have the highest amount so David wasn't safe, but Sydnee was because she had the $1 million case.

This put David on Sydnee's team, alongside Parvati and Philip. The team with the medium total was that of Rock, Storm, CK, La Shell, Rock, Maria Grace, and Dickson. The team with the lowest total, which went to the elimination, to deal with the banker consisted of Luke, Seychelle, and David.

Luke stepped up to go against the banker, but his luck didn't side with him and he was eliminated from Deal or No Deal Island episode 1.
