The Voice season 26 aired episode 5 and saw a new batch of singers attempt to get a chair turn this week on Monday, October 14, 2024. One such singer in the latest segment was Mark Shiiba, whose rendition of Don't Think Twice, It's Alright by Bob Dylan made Micheal Bublé use the Coach Replay on the contestant.
The new coach praised the twist and stated he knew he made a mistake before the "chair ever turned around" and called Mark a "star." Fans reacted to the contestant's performance online and were appreciative of his Blind Auditions segment. One wrote on X:

The Voice season 26: Mark Shiiba's Blind Auditions performance explored
Mark Shiiba appeared on The Voice season 26 in episode 5, titled, Blind Auditions Part 5. As per NBC Insider, Mark was interested in music, as his family was "musically inclined. His influencers included singers like Jason Mraz and Jack Johnson.
At the age of 18, The Voice season 26 singer joined the United States Navy. He described being stationed on an aircraft carrier in the middle of the Pacific Ocean as living in a city on the water. Mark auditioned for the NBC singing reality show at the age of 29, 11 years after he had first joined the Navy and was accompanied by his father and grandmother.
As part of his audition, the singer sang Don't Think Twice, It's Alright by Bob Dylan while playing a guitar and a harmonica. None of the coaches turned around during the performance and after the song ended, Gwen Stefani said that she was on the "fence" the entire time. She added that his voice had "such a character voice" and hoped that he wouldn't be discouraged.
Michael Bublé said that from the second Mark started singing, he "entered" Bublé's ear and he loved every second of it. The season 26 coach stated that he thought to himself that Mark might be a "star" and could be "one of those unique Americana stars."
"I'm listening to you, and I'm back there thinking, 'How cool is it, on this season of The Voice, that we have something called the Coach Replay?' so that I can do this," he said.
Michael Bublé pressed the Coach Replay for Mark and welcomed him into his team.
Fans of the NBC show reacted to the segment online and were glad Michael Bublé used the Coach Replay on the singer.
The Voice season 26 will air episode 6 on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, and will wrap up the Blind Auditions.
