Love Island USA season 6 aired episode 26 on Tuesday, July 9, 2024. During the segment, the cast gathered for Movie Night, which featured memorable clips of the season so far. One such clip was the aftermath of Andrea's elimination, which caused a rift between Leah and Olivia, aka Liv.
Watching the clip back, the two female islanders were able to see what the other had said about the situation and were upset with one another, and got into a screaming match. Leah asked Liv to tell her how she was "heavily swaying" the decision, and the latter defended herself against the cast member.
Fans of the show took to social media to react to the argument and were divided by who was in the right. While several defended Leah, others defended Liv. One person wrote on X:
"Leah knows she cant gag Liv which is why she results to throwing temper tantrums like a literal child #loveislandusa."
"They never left!!! They should put in the footage of Liv’s comments about JaNa versus Leah’s comments. I will never doubt Liv #LoveIslandUSA," a fan commented.
"THEY ALREADY TALKED ABOUT THE ANDREA SITUATION Liv is the honest one, Leah the crazy lying delusional one, and Serena the dumb ass taking Leah’s side #loveisland #loveislandusa," a user wrote on X.
Love Island USA season 6 fans defending Leah said:
"I understand Leah’s frustration in this specific situation. I wish Liv and Kaylor would of dropped it and realized that they already squashed this issue. It’s redundant and Im pissed production included it bc what was the point #loveislandusa," a fan wrote.
"The Leah Liv argument Im sorry Leah was right why was liv doubling down I thought it was deaded! and coming at jana?? #Loveislandusa," a viewer commented.
"And Liv and Kaylor…who tf yall was talking to? You owed Leah an apology and don’t tell Jana to stay out of it when you be in everyone business. #loveislandusa," a person wrote.
Love Island USA season 6 fans also believed that it was unnecessary to showcase the clips since the issue had already been resolved and blamed production for adding fuel to the fire:
"Production is NASTY fr. Why are we showing that convo instead of showing the discussion about sending Andrea home to prove Leah wasn’t leading it?? THEY ALL VOTED HER OUT!!! Why does Leah only get shit for it? I’m tired of her being made out as the villain by Liv. #Loveislandusa" a person wrote.
"Production is misogynistic as f—k..they want the girls to fight so bad and they're letting the boys get away w everything. its starting to piss me off and if tonights episode is centered on liv and leah and not how manipulative and grimey the men have been im done #loveislandusa," a fan commented.
Liv and Leah clash during Love Island USA season 6's movie night
During Love Island USA season 6 episode 26, the cast gathered for movie night and saw clips of their time on the show. One of the clips that was showcased was Liv and Kaylor's conversation with Rob about Andrea's elimination, which resulted in yet another clash between Liv and Leah.
Upon hearing Liv say that she wasn't the only one who believed Leah was pushing to eliminate Andrea, the latter asked her to explain her "heavily swaying" comment in a sentence, while Liv maintained that she didn't lie. As the Love Island USA season 6 cast member was explaining herself, she was interrupted by Leah.
"Are you gonna let me finish or are you just gonna keep putting it in?" Liv replied.
The islander added that when they were deciding who to eliminate, Leah "heavily" implied that Andrea should be eliminated. Kaylor and Serena interrupted and said they were all voting for the eliminated contestant, and Leah noted Liv made it seem like she had orchestrated the vote-out.
Liv shot back and said Leah made it seem like she took a back seat and wasn't taking ownership of wanting to send Andrea home. The latter wondered why the islander was still talking about it since it had already been discussed.
"I'm always there for Liv. I'm always the first one to say, "Whatever you need, I'm here." So to see that it was very difficult," Leah said in a confessional.
Leah screamed at Liv to "shut the f—k up," and Kaylor defended the latter and told the Love Island USA season 6 islander that she was being disrespectful.
After the Love Island USA episode aired, fans of the show chimed in on the situation and were divided on who they thought was right. Episodes of the show are available to stream on Peacock.
