Season 2 of House of Villains aired its finale on Thursday, December 19, 2024. The episode saw the remaining five contestants — Jessie, Safaree, Wes, Larsa, and New York compete for the winner's title. However, after a difficult Redemption Challenge and a close vote, Safaree emerged victorious, taking home America's Ultimate Supervillain title and the $200,000 cash prize.
Larsa and New York were the first ones to get eliminated from the race after losing the Redemption Challenge to Wes, who joined Safaree and Jessie in the final three. The three prepared to hear the judgment of the banished villains, who would vote to select the winner.
Jessie received zero votes and lost the competition. Meanwhile, Wes and Safaree's votes were split between the two. At that point, Jessie cast the tie-breaking vote in favor of Safaree, earning him the victory.
House of Villains fans took to X to comment on Safaree victory, unimpressed by the outcome. While some congratulated him, many claimed he was undeserving.
"Safaree is not a villain sorry.. he was a terrible winner.." a fan wrote.
"Y'all... see, I called it on the 5th that Safaree was going to win. Y'all can't tell me nothing! I should've placed a bet!" another fan commented.
"Only on House Of Villains you can win by not campaigning and sob stories don't mean sh** and I love it! Congrats Safaree!!" a netizen tweeted.
Many House of Villains fans were dissatisfied with the outcome.
"safaree did NOTHING this entire game i’m so mad. how are these people gonna come on a show called #HouseofVillains and NOT vote for the biggest villain because he hurt your feelings?????????? f**k all the way off," a user reacted.
"I hate strategic games that the winning vote has nothing to do with gameplay. Safaree won a show called House of Villains purely from being the only nice person left. That’s kinda f**ked lol," a person commented.
"might be the most clueless and irrelevant reality tv winner of all time just completely stumbled right into the win," another fan wrote.
Meanwhile, some House of Villains fans believed others deserved the victory more than Safaree.
"Wes should have won. they don’t understand the game. Safaree didn’t play the game. Jessie is an idiot," one user posted.
"Jesse is a b**ch boy. Wes is the winner. No disrespect to Safari but wow, talk about a bitter jury. Hatch gets it, a person reacted.
"Jessie was ROBBED! That’s it, that’s the tweet," another netizen commented.
"I guess being a villain does pay" — House of Villains' winner Safaree comments on his victory
The finale started with Jessie taking the Supervillain of the Week's throne and contemplating who to nominate for banishment. After much deliberation, the Big Brother alum put Wes, Larsa, and New York on the Hit List, making Safaree the first of the three finalists.
Wes, deemed Jessie's biggest opponent, was determined to win the Redemption Challenge and return in the race to take the winner's title. For the challenge, the three nominees had to identify quotes from their fellow villains and arrange a puzzle into an arch side-by-side. Wes outperformed Larsa and New York, reviving his position in the competition.
While Larsa blamed her long nails and called the challenge the "dumbest" one ever, New York lamented her loss and hoped producers called her for season 3.
Finally, it was time for the banished villains to vote and choose America's Ultimate Supervillain between Jessie, Wes, and Safaree. When the results were announced, Jessie found himself with the shorter end of the stick with zero votes in his name.
"Looking back, it was an amateur move taking my bestie [Safaree]. I didn't even have a fighting chance," Jessie said.
Since Wes and Safaree's votes were split in half, Jessie was given the decision to make the tie-breaking vote. Despite making Wes "beg" for it, Jessie granted his vote to Safaree. Safaree emerged victorious with Jessie, Teresa, Larsa, Camilla, and Kandy's votes. Meanwhile, New York, Richard, Victoria, and Larissa voted for Wes.
While reflecting on his victory, Safaree said:
"I guess being a villain does pay."
The House of Villains' season 2 winner patted himself on the back for winning the show without "fake politicking" or any "one-on-one bulls**t."
