"That’s refreshing"— Love After Lockup fans react to Kaleigh standing up to Hunter about money 

Love After Lockup season 5 episode 53, which is part of its Love During Lockup show, aired on Friday, December 27, 2024. The segment saw Kaleigh go to an adult toy shop with her friend Ava to buy something she could show Hunter during their next video call since he was in prison.

While she was there, he called her up asking for more money since he already spent the $200 she sent him earlier that week on shoes. The female cast member got upset and called Hunter out on his behavior and said he chose to buy shoes with her money instead of food.

In Love After Lockup season 5 episode 53, Hunter called up Kaleigh to ask for money. He told her that he had used the money she sent him for shoes and apologized for the same.

In a confessional, Kaleigh said that she had already sent the Love After Lockup season 5 cast member $200 for the week. She also revealed that she bought a $500 text message package which is why the past five months had been expensive.

Hunter said he couldn't "eat shoes" and Kaleigh responded that he should have thought about it before spending all the money.

Hunter told Kaleigh that he had told her everything and that he didn't keep anything from her. The latter told him he wasn't honest with her either since he told her he needed money for food but bought shoes with it.

"That wasn't really a pivotal moment of honesty," she added.

She told him that instances like their current one were why people were worried that the Love After Lockup season 5 cast member was using her. Hunter assured her that while he may have acted like he was getting everything he wanted, but he was not using her.
