“That's wild”— Love After Lockup fans react to Tennie’s physical fight with Rob’s mom

Love After Lockup season 5 entered its Life After Lockup segment with episode 41, released on October 4. This part focuses on the inmates' lives after prison, including their relationships. In episode 41, Welcome Home?, Tennie and Rob are shown living happily with their kids. Tennie hosted a welcome party for Rob, inviting people who supported him during his time in prison, including his mom, Kate.

Kate arrived and sat down with the duo, she picked on Rob for being distant from her and blamed his new family for it. Tennie wasn't having it, so she bit back and asked why she was being accused. After a bit of back and forth between the two, their verbal fight turned into a physical altercation.

Fans of Love After Lockup came to X to react to it:

"Tennies a gorgeous girl. Rob seems like a nice guy but his mother’s toxic. Tennie might wanna seriously consider making his mother happy and letting him go," said another fan.

Some Love After Lockup fans noticed it was Tennie who first started the fight by shoving Rob's mom's face back and came to the platform to confirm it.

"Now Tennie you hit Rob’s mom first...," an X user wrote.

"Tennie hit his mom first smh," another X user wrote.

"Tennie couldn’t wait to mash Rob’s mom in the face," another fan wrote.

"Not at the party mom. Let Rob have his day. And why she throw Tennie in it after she greeted you from the jump," an X user said.

Rob's mom blames Love After Lockup star Tennie after Rob doesn't spend enough time with her

Kate arrived late to her son's welcome party on Love After Lockup and jokingly asked Tennie if she thought she'd miss it. Tennie replied that neither she nor Rob expected her to show up. When Kate met Tennie's mom, they were friendly, and Kate complimented her hair.

Rob thanked her for coming because many people didn't show up. She said she had to come. When they sat down to talk, she said she had to talk to Rob. She told him she wasn't happy with how Rob treated her because she felt distanced. She added that Rob didn't spend time with her and asked what was it that she did to be treated that way.

Rob said he was going through something mentally because he was locked up for 17 years. He said he loved her but he had more responsibilities after he came back from the prison and called himself a "grown man".

Kate then said at the end of the day she'll be there for him and that Tennie wouldn't. Tennie flipped at this, cut her off and asked her why would she say that. Kate defended herself by stating it was just a comment. Offended, Tennie said she was going to get herself a drink; but Kate continued to ask Rob why he would take another family.

Hurt, Tennie yelled and asked Kate what her problem was, Rob intervened and put himself in the middle of the two. Tennie jumped and pushed her face back, while Kate punched her in response. Rob kept yelling "stop" until he and his mom fell over and the Love After Lockup cameras cut out.
