"That was special"— Kenny praises JaNa speaking Spanish during her Love Island USA season 6 vows

Love Island USA season 6 finalists JaNa and Kenny recently spoke to Too Fab magazine about their journey on the Peacock show. The two spoke about the season finale and the speeches they wrote for one another.

For the unversed, JaNa recited a part of her vows to Kenny in Spanish, which left the cast member surprised. Kenny opened up about the same moment during the July 24, 2024, interview and said:

"My jaw dropped when she said that in the speech. I had no clue that was happening. And the fact that no one else understands, no one else speaks it there, none of the couples do, she was just speaking to me, speaking from the heart and talking about how much she appreciates me, that was special."

Jana's speech to Kenny in Love Island USA season 6 finale

In Love Island USA season 6 finale, which aired on Sunday, July 21, 2024, during which the remaining four couples, Serena and Kordell, JaNa and Kenny, Leah and Miguel, and Kendall and Nicole shared their feelings in the form of letters and vows.

Kenny told the female islander he came on the Peacock show to find someone who could settle down and establish a foundation. Recalling the post-Casa Amor recoupling ceremony, Kenny stated that seeing JaNa at the firepit by herself "in tears" was one of his worst days on the show.

"From that day, I told myself, I was gonna do everything in my power to show you how much I do care about you. Lastly, I just want to thank you for giving this experience your all and for helping me become a better man," Kenny said.

JaNa started her speech by noting that words couldn't describe how "grateful" she was that their "paths" crossed with one another. She called the Love Island USA season 6 bombshell the "sweetest" and the "most kindest soul" she had ever met.

JaNa added that as their connection grew stronger and deeper, her insecurities and self-doubts about being worthy of love "slowly started to fade away." The next part of her speech was in Spanish, which shocked Kenny.

"You make me feel special, you give me confidence and bring me happiness. I don't feel I deserve you but I'm proud to have you and I'm happy I can call you mine. Thank you very much for everything, I appreciate you," JaNa said in Spanish.

The Love Island USA season 6 cast cheered as JaNa finished her speech and Serena called her a "bilingual queen."

During the Too Fab interview, JaNa was asked how fluent she was, and she said her "espanol es may mal," which meant that her Spanish was "very bad." Kenny added that it was "un poco," meaning it wasn't that bad.

Kenny added that the Love Island USA season 6 islander understood most of what he said while speaking in Spanish. The female cast member explained that she could understand more than she could speak and revealed that she was still taking private classes.

"But I will be fluent by the end of this year, for sure," JaNa added.

For the unversed, JaNa entered the villa on Day 1, while Kenny joined the cast as a bombshell on Day 13. The two coupled up with one another but were briefly separated when Kenny brought Catherine back from Casa Amor and coupled up with her on Day 20.

Watching Kenny return to the show with another connection, JaNa expressed wanting to leave Love Island USA season 6 since she couldn't take any more losses on the show.

Before Kenny entered the show, JaNa tried to find a connection with several islanders, including Coye, Connor, and Hakeem.

Love Island USA season 6 will return to screens on August 19, 2024, for a reunion special.
