ABC has renewed The $100,000 Pyramid for season 8, premiering on March 9, 2025. Hosted by Michael Strahan, the game show features celebrities and contestants teaming up for word association games to win the $100,000 grand prize. Airing times are yet to be confirmed but are typically 9 PM ET or 7 PM PT.

ABC aired only 10 episodes for season 7, with the remaining 10 set to air as season 8. It is unclear if more episodes will be added to season 8.

The format for The $100000 Pyramid explained
Casting for the season 8 of $100000 Pyramid is underway. Only participants above the age of 21 and legal residents of the United States can apply for registration.
The game show is broken down into several rounds. Each game involves teams of two, each consisting of a contestant and a celebrity. After winning points in the first few rounds, teams then proceed to the Winner's circle.
The teams start by playing the "main game." This round requires the partners to take turns helping each other guess the words or phrases given to them by their teammates. Each partner takes turns being the "giver"—who gives clues—and the "receiver"—who guesses the words or phrases.
The teams have 30 seconds per turn to correctly guess the word or phrases, which awards them with one point. Round three and four of the main game are played in a similar style but with increased difficulty.
After the main game, the teams who have won the most points move forward to the Winner's Circle. In this round, the giver chooses from six categories which are displayed on a six-tiered pyramid with the highest prize being $100000
But contrary to other rounds in The $100000 Pyramid, in this one the giver can only use gestures or descriptions to help their teammate to guess the word or phrase. This round is especially intense, as the giver cannot use any word in the given category.
However, the teams' rewards are equally high. Each correct answer in the first tier is worth $1000. the money increases as the teams move forward in the round. If the teams manage to guess all the correct answers in 30 seconds each, the total sum of the rewards is $25000.
But the stakes for the team can get even higher if they continue to play after winning the $25000 reward. Contestants can choose to play until they make a mistake or clear the board. If the winning contestant gets all six categories correct, they are matched with a different celebrity in the next game.
The contestant can continue to play with each subsequent win adding to the potential grand prize of $100000.
In December 2024, Michael Strahan shared a now-expired Instagram story announcing a casting call for The $100,000 Pyramid Season 8. Contestants had to be U.S. residents over 21 to apply.
Fans of the show can catch the premiere for season eight of The $100000 Pyramid show on Sunday, March 9, on ABC.
