After the previous episodes of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season 5 documented the ladies on their trip to Milwaukee, episode 5 of the show documented them settling in after they traveled back home.

Episode 5, released on October 16, saw Whitney investigating the rumor someone spread about her business. She said someone alleged that her jewelry brand, Prism, sourced its products from Alibaba— the Chinese wholesale supplier. As proof, the person who spread the rumor online also posted photoshoot pictures of the jewelry that both Prism and Alibaba had.

In a scene in episode 5, Whitney got a call from a podcaster friend who found out the person behind the rumor. He said that the person was from Whitney's own circle and that they owned a liquor business. No one except Lisa owned a liquor business which meant she was the one to spread the rumor, according to what Whitney deduced. Fans of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City flocked to X to react to this.

"Awwwww look at Whitney trying to have her own 'Receipts, Proof, Timelines...' moment! Lawd THE LIES THE LIES!" said one fan.
"LMAO Whitney is hilarious. These basic *ss questions to solve this “mystery” and crashing out at the reveal that Lisa was never her friend…," said another friend.

Some fans of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City noted that the pictures were indeed identical and believed that Whitney did source the jewelry from Alibaba.

"I get Whitney being upset IF Lisa leaked that jewelry pic. But I’m still not understanding how the jewelry is identical?? Like same exact pics?? And FYI, I still love Lisa," a user wrote.
"Whitney being fake outraged is sending me .. gworl you knew that jewelry came from Alibaba," another user wrote.

Some fans of the show believed Lisa wasn't behind the rumor while others thought Whitney staged her findings to accuse Lisa.

"Whitney story about Lisa is fake and staged. Next," a comment read.
"I don’t think Lisa made up the story about Whitney. I think this is a scheme Whitney set up," another comment read.

Some The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City fans questioned the reliability of Whitney's source of information, the podcaster.

"This whole call with Whitney and “Adam” the podcaster seems fake. Your proof coming from a podcaster, child," said one fan.
"This whole conversation with this podcaster is sooooooo weird, not the 20 questions just to say who it is," said another fan.

Whitney's conversation with podcaster Adam on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season 5 episode 5

While on the phone call with her "casual friend", Adam the podcaster, Whitney explained in a confessional that he was friends with the account holder who posted rumors about her business being sourced from Alibaba.

He said when he was trying his best to find out who the person was, the account holder said it was "definitely somebody in your (Whitney's) group". The account holder couldn't name the person so they asked Adam to ask questions.

When Adam asked if the person had a jewelry brand, they said no, when he asked if they had a beauty brand, they said no, but when he asked if the person had a liquor brand, they said yes. Whitney said nobody except Lisa Barlow had a liquor brand in their group, which meant it was her.

After the call, in a The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City confessional, Whitney said that she was validated but at the same time, she didn't want it to be true.

New episodes of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season 5 come out on Wednesdays at 9 pm ET, on Bravo.
