As one of the most popular reality shows in the reality TV realm, fans of Love Is Blind can't help but discuss what happened on the show, as well as afterward. 29 singles entered the pods at the start and opened up in front of not just other singles but also the audience.
In the show, Tyler and Ashley were able to bond amongst all the other singles. They connected on how they wanted their future lives to go with a partner and were one of the 2 couples who got married in the finale.
To the shock of Ashley, in episode 9, Tyler revealed that he was the father of 3 children via sperm donation. Since then, the mother of 3 children also spoke up in a 5 part Instagram video post on October 20. She that she was disappointed that Tyler referred to the kids as "sperm babies" and claimed that Tyler was actively involved in their lives.
With the reunion episode about to be released on October 30, 2024, at 9 pm ET, two alums of the show have also chimed in with their opinions on the ongoing drama surrounding Tyler and Ashley. The season 2 participants Natalie Lee and Deepti Vempati host a podcast, Out of the Pods, where the two deep-dive into the reality TV world.
They revealed their take on Ashley and Tyler in the October 28, 2024 episode where they recapped the finale of Love Is Blind season 7. Ashley has stood by Tyler's side ever since filming wrapped a year ago and was seen defending her husband in the trailer for the reunion episode.
Deepti revealed that she got emotional when watching Tyler and Ashley's journey and wondered what Ashley might be thinking right now, after the recent revelations.
"There's so much more to this story. Tyler just needs a whole reunion episode for himself because this is a lot," quipped Deepti.
How did Tyler and Ashley's journey on Love Is Blind season 7 go?
One of only 2 couples who survived throughout season 7 of Love Is Blind, Tyler, and Ashley connected since their first date in the pods. Tyler became nervous initially when he developed feelings for Ashley, but the latter calmed him down as they connected further. She even claimed that she admired this trait of Tyler where he allowed himself to be vulnerable in front of her.
“I think it’s attractive when guys can be vulnerable and be themselves,” said Ashley.
They both bonded over the fact that they cooked dinner for their castmates. This eventually led to both opening up about their feelings and their desire to skydive one day. Tyler finally proposed to Ashley on Love Is Blind, after the latter gifted a cake and balloons to Tyler on his birthday.
After seeing each other for the very first time outside the pods, they flew off with other couples who were selected to be in the honeymoon phase. After returning home, Tyler and Ashley met the latter's father who became emotional about letting Ashley go as he felt protective towards her. Her father eventually approved of their marriage but things took a turn when Tyler's past knocked on their door.
Not far from the wedding date, Tyler revealed on Love Is Blind that he was the father of three children via sperm donation. Ashley was shocked to learn this critical information this late in the relationship, but they eventually made up when Tyler stated his desire to work things through.
“I’ll fight until you tell me to stop fighting,” stated Tyler.
Ashley even tried on wedding dresses with her mother. Later, the couple fulfilled their wish as they went skydiving together in hopes of facing their fears together. In the last episode of the season, the couple walked down the altar and said "I do" to each other as they committed to staying together for the rest of their lives.
