Ebraheem Al Samadi, an entrepreneur and cast member of Dubai Bling, spoke about misconceptions surrounding the show during his appearance on the Mr. Thank You Podcast, released on January 10, 2025.

The podcast episode followed the release of Dubai Bling season 3, which premiered on Netflix on January 8, 2025. Ebraheem addressed a recurring question from viewers regarding the authenticity of the show’s content.

“The reason why people think it’s scripted is because they don’t believe the situations that happen, but you have to understand, sometimes we are put in that situation,” Ebraheen said referring to skepticism about the dramatic events portrayed on Dubai Bling.

Ebraheem clarified that while the show captures heightened moments, the emotions and interactions are entirely real, adding his perspective to the ongoing conversation about reality TV.

Ebraheem explains how Dubai Bling stays authentic

During the podcast, Ebraheem shared that the events on Dubai Bling are not scripted, despite some viewers’ assumptions. He explained that Netflix categorizes the series as unscripted reality television, meaning it would lose its classification if the content were fabricated. He said:

“If Netflix suspected it was scripted, they’d cancel the show. What you see is real.”

Ebraheem acknowledged that viewers might find some situations hard to believe due to the nature of reality TV, which often involves dramatic or unusual scenarios. However, he shared that the cast members, including himself, have complete freedom to express themselves naturally.

“I say what I want to say. Nobody tells me what to do or what to say. There's no memorizing scripts or reading from something, I'm not an actor,” he explained.

He also reflected on how being part of the show has impacted his life, both personally and professionally. While the filming process often places cast members in challenging or intense situations, Ebraheem shared that these moments contribute to the show’s relatability and engagement, as they capture genuine emotions and reactions.

The casting process and Ebraheem’s journey in Dubai Bling

Ebraheem shed light on how he became part of Dubai Bling, explaining that he was cast by Netflix after they followed his life for a while. He clarified that none of the cast members applied to be on the show, as it was created from scratch.

“We were the ones who made that show,” he said, describing the opportunity of being part of the inaugural season of a new series.

He shared that initially, he was only told the show would feature successful individuals in the Middle East on a global platform.

“When I signed the contract, I didn’t even know what it was going to be like,” he revealed.

Despite the challenges of being in the public eye, Ebraheem expressed no regrets about joining the show, as it has allowed him to connect with people around the world and expand his business ventures. He shared:

“I don’t regret doing it.”

Ebraheem added that his newfound visibility has also brought meaningful interactions with fans who look up to him for inspiration. While addressing the show, he reiterated that the authenticity of the show is a key factor in its success and widespread appeal.

Ebraheem also teased his upcoming solo show, Habibi Ebraheem, which focuses on connecting with fans through experiences like shopping sprees and travel opportunities. He explained that the lucky individuals who find a golden ticket on buying his chocolate will get the chance to go on an exclusive shopping spree with him.
