The Masked Singer season 12 has come to an end, with the finale episode 12 released on December 18. The last two contenders were Wasp and the group of Buffalos. The former came from Group B, while the latter represented Group A. It was a neck-to-neck competition because both the contestants delivered great performances throughout the season.
The three Buffalos took home the title and became the first group entry to win The Masked Singer. They were revealed to be the boy band Boyz II Men, which many fans claimed to already know. Wasp was announced as the runner-up of the season and was unmasked to be the pop star, Mario.
Fans of The Masked Singer took to platforms like X to comment on Buffalos' win. They praised the group on their performance and congratulated them. Some of them even cheered about guessing them correctly.

Each of the contestants sang two songs as a part of their finale performances, out of which Buffalos first pick was the hit Somebody That I Used to Know by Gotye. For their second performance, they chose a favorite again— Sam Smith's Too Good at Goodbyes.
After they were unmasked to be the boy band Boyz II Men, they gave one final performance as themselves and not the Buffalos, singing their signature song, Motownphilly.
In their voiceover, Buffalos said coming to the finale made them emotional. Sharing some of the things that they had to go through in life, Buffalos said:
"We had to fight our way out of the hood. We had to overcome the passing of one of the most important people in our lives. And we’ve even had to change our entire sound when we lost a member."
When it came to panelist guesses, all of them, including Ken Jeong, Rita Ora, Robin Thicke, and Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg agreed to Buffalos being Boyz II Men.
