The Voice season 26 aired Blind Auditions Part 5 on Monday, October 14, 2024. The segment saw several talented singers appear on the NBC show in hopes of getting a chair turn to join one of the coaches of the NBC show.

One such singer was 17-year-old Eliza Pryor who sang Linger by The Cranberries. Although the judges seemed to enjoy the young contestant's performance, none of them turned until the last minute. Ultimately Snoop Dogg turned his chair and said that he heard something he liked.

Fans of The Voice season 26 reacted to Snoop Dogg's decision to press his buzzer for Eliza Pyor and were divided by the contestant's audition. One person wrote on X:

"Eliza Pryor grooving to the opening, hyped that energy and kept it for the vocals. I could hear the smile thru her vocal, just a little thin and nasal. The coaches were grooving to the song choice. And then the sneak attack"
"Hopefully this doesn't come across as abrasive (not intended so), but I assume you don't have an ear for pitch? The question was more; why did Snoop turn for Eliza?," a fan commented.
"Unfortunately Eliza is off. Lots of pitch issues. Snoop must've turned on potential (which is probably/maybe there)," a tweet read.

Some fans of The Voice season 26 felt Eliza sounded like a "regular person":

"Sorry, but Eliza sounded like a regular person singing at home. Just ok," a person wrote.
"sorry but eliza pryor really didn't do it for me ..," a fan commented.
"She had a lot of pitch issues," a tweet read.

Fans of the reality singing competition further said:

"Why didn’t more coaches turn for Eliza?," a person wrote.
"That was an incredible performance by eliza pryor," a fan commented.
