The Real Housewives of Orange County aired its finale on Thursday, October 31, 2024. In the segment, Katie was confronted by Emily and Heather about her daughter's comments. Emily claimed Katie's daughter, Kaili, spoke negatively about Heather to her sons while she babysat them, which was why they repeated what they heard.
However, Katie refused to believe Emily's sons were innocent and knew nothing about Heather. She defended Kaili, hoping to resolve the issue by talking to her. At that point, Emily confessed she was upset Katie relayed the information to Tamra. However, Katie dismissed the accusation, saying she was "giggling about it" with her daughter.
Heather, listening silently, intervened, asking Katie if she was discussing how "mean" she was, to which Katie said yes. A frustrated Heather attacked Katie, saying she was fed up with her lies, making Katie laugh in response. Katie called her "ridiculous," and took a stand for herself, refusing to succumb to Heather's accusations.

The Real Housewives of Orange County fans took to X to praise Katie for defending herself and criticized Heather's obsession with her.

Before Heather came at Katie, Emily confronted her about what she told her daughter, Kaili. She said Kaili did an "amazing job" when she babysat her sons, however, after she left, her sons told her that Kaili told them Heather was "mean."
Katie listened in disbelief, unwilling to accept the accusation. The Real Housewives of Orange County star revealed that Kaili told her Emily's sons had their negative opinion of Heather and confessed it to her the night she went over to babysit them. However, Emily dismissed the claim, saying her twins were 9 years old and had no idea who Heather was.
Emily was certain her sons were "repeating" the information they heard from Kaili. While speaking to the cameras, Kaili said:
"Why would I make that up?... I thought it was so funny and I was like, 'I think she's kinda mean to my mom too.' So, we bonded."
At that point, Emily voiced her actual "issue" with what had happened. The Real Housewives of Orange County star was upset Katie divulged the information to Tamra, but Katie disagreed, saying that Kaili had done it. During a confessional, Katie revealed she sometimes had adult conversations with her daughter.
She explained it was a "mother-daughter moment" and that they giggled about it. Heather asked if they laughed about her being "mean" and Katie agreed. Heather walked away in frustration, to which Katie replied, "Be done."
Heather said she was "done" with all her accusations, lies, and "nonsense," only to make Katie laugh satirically. She explained she laughed because Heather was being "ridiculous" and said:
"Because you're always putting your nails in my face and shutting me up and I'm over it."
When Heather called her "boring" and a liar, Katie said, "You lied and you swore on your kids and you lied." Despite that, Heather continued to call Katie "evil," but the latter rolled her eyes and ignored The Real Housewives of Orange County star.
