Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag, former stars of The Hills, have lost their Pacific Palisades home to a wildfire raging through Los Angeles. The devastating incident occurred on Tuesday, January 7, with the couple and their children evacuating safely.

Spencer Pratt, 41, and Heidi, 38, shared the heartbreaking ordeal through social media posts, showing the fire’s proximity to their home and expressing their fears.

In a TikTok video posted early Wednesday, Spencer Pratt showed flames engulfing their property and captioned the clip, "Nightmare came true." She said in the video:

"There’s a fire right over our house, so please say some prayers for us, it’s a mandatory evacuation."

The couple’s elder son Gunner, 7, was also with them during the evacuation. Despite the chaos, the family managed to leave safely before their home was destroyed.

"I know he is probably so worried about them and saddened by it all. This is horrific," another user added.
"A lot of celebs in that area of LA. They are the first to announce they lost their home," wrote one.

Others highlighted the broader impact of the wildfire.

"I lost everything in a fire. Including my cats and the ability to walk. It’s such a devastating and terrifying thing to go through. My heart is with everyone going through this or who has ever gone through it," a Reddit user remarked.
"I'm in the southern hemisphere so it's summer here, so I was like, "it's terrible how these intense heat waves happen just more often everywhere" to then realize it's winter up there. The footage of the fires is very scary," a Reddit user commented.
"It's so bad rn. I could barely sleep all night bc there's fires just popping up EVERYWHERE. Literally yesterday like 6 separate fires broke out because of the wind in LA," another shared.

The fire, which began on January 7 at 10:30 a.m. PT, has spread across the Pacific Palisades area, forcing approximately 30,000 residents to evacuate. Fueled by strong winds, the blaze has already burned over 2,900 acres and destroyed multiple homes. California Governor Gavin Newsom declared a state of emergency, and officials continue to issue evacuation orders.

Spencer Pratt's sister, Stephanie Pratt, shared her heartbreak on Instagram and wrote:

"I am beyond heartbroken for my brother, Heidi & the kids. And to all of our friends and neighbors who have lost their houses today."

She revealed that their father attempted to save Spencer Pratt's home but was unsuccessful due to strong winds. Stephanie also expressed concern for her nephews and wrote:

"How horrible for my sweet little nephews to watch their house disappear like this. They must be so scared and confused."

The wildfires have united residents in their efforts to stay safe and support one another. Local actor Steven Guttenberg made an emotional plea on KTLA, urging evacuees to leave their car keys behind if abandoning vehicles.

"We really need people to move their cars. If you leave your car behind, leave the key in there so a guy like me can move your car so that these fire trucks can get up there," he said.

Authorities faced challenges as abandoned cars blocked roads, delaying fire trucks’ access to the affected areas. Despite these hurdles, first responders continue to work tirelessly to contain the fire.

Spencer Pratt and Heidi are reportedly devastated by the loss of their home. According to TMZ, the house was at the epicenter of the blaze and "burned to the ground." However, the couple is grateful to have evacuated safely with their children. With zero containment reported as of Tuesday night, residents continue to face uncertainty as strong winds fuel the flames.
