"Those genes are strong"— Claim to Fame fans react to Dedrick's celebrity relative being revealed

Claim to Fame season 3 aired a brand new episode this week on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, which sent another cast member packing. In episode 5, the contestants competed in a task that required them to identify objects which gave them hints and clues to several cast members.

At the end of the task, Shane and Dedrick were at the bottom, and the latter was voted to be the guesser. He picked Adam to go up against and incorrectly guessed his celebrity relative. It was then revealed that Dedrick was related to Michael Jackson and was eliminated from the show.

Who was Dedrick's celebrity relative in Claim to Fame season 3?

In Claim to Fame season 3 episode 5, Dedrick was eliminated and his celebrity relative's identity was revealed to be Michael Jackson. As part of the big reveal, the cast member's real name, Sigmund Jackson was also revealed. The eliminated cast member was Michael Jackson's nephew and the son of Jackie Jackson.

In Wednesday's episode of the ABC show, the cast participated in a blindfold challenge. During the challenge, it was revealed that the egg beater and bubbles were related to Dedrick's clue as the beater connected to Jackson's famous song Beat It. The late pop sensation also had a pet chimpanzee, whose name was Bubbles.

Throughout the episodes, clues and hints for each of the contestants were revealed. Dedrick's clues included that his celebrity relative was his uncle, and was best known for being a singer. The clue about the contestant in episode 2 was a giraffe.

In Claim to Fame season 3 episode 3, Danny got Dedrick's clues, which included a scarecrow, an owl with a speech bubble, "walking + back + N + a lever -L + an airplane landing." In the same episode, Danny incorrectly guessed his relative as Little Richard and was eliminated from the show. Episode 4 didn't reveal further clues about the season 3 cast member.
