“Tough conversation”- Belle Collective fans react to SoGucci’s daughter opening up about their relationship

Belle Collective season 5 began airing on OWN on November 1, 2024, and saw relationships between cast members and their children grow tumultuous. The season saw JJ stop talking to his three daughters because he wanted them to resolve their issues with his new wife, SoGucci.

In the latest episode, SoGucci addressed the same with Selena, JJ's ex-girlfriend. SoGucci told Selena that she wanted JJ to have an amicable relationship with them.

She also had a conversation with her own daughter, Dee, who told her that she wasn't as present a parent as Dee would have liked. Dee accused her of being so busy with her new marriage that she forgot to be there for her pre-existing family.

Dee also opened up about her mental breakdowns getting the better of her and driving her to the verge of thinking of taking her own life. SoGucci felt bad about the way she treated Dee, and hugged and comforted her daughter.

She also reassured Dee that she would now be there for her. Fans of Belle Collective took to X to react to this one-on-one between SoGucci and her daughter. With many stating that it was a conversation that they had been "waiting to see."

"Sophia got a tough conversation coming up with her daughter that I’ve been waiting to see," said one fan.

Others said that while it wasn't the first time Dee spoke to her mother about the issues, they were glad that SoGucci "took accountability" and didn't try to shift the blame. While some fans of the Belle Collective praised SoGuccie for acknowledging Dee's feelings, others criticized her for not paying enough attention to her before.

"This isn’t the first time SoGucci’s daughter has talked about her not being there for her," another fan said.

"I love how @Sogucci007 took accountability with her daughter & not shift the blame," added a third one.

"It’s nobody’s fault but SoGucci’s that she hasn’t poured into her own daughter. Like priorities….," another wrote.

"Now why is Gucci blaming JJ and his family on her not being there for her daughter snfh," an X user wrote.

"So Gucci said she hasn't been focusing on her daughter trying to fix Jay Jay and his daughters when you daughter talking about feelings from when her and her brother was a child. Make It make sense," another user wrote.

What else went down on Belle Collective season 5 episode 7?

The highlight of episode 7 of Belle Collective season 5 was SoGucci and Selena talking their differences out. SoGucci said she wanted to resolve things because they would keep coming across each other at social gatherings. She also said that she wanted JJ to have an amicable relationship with his and Selena's daughters.

Selena and SoGucci hugged it out and began a peaceful acquaintance, but after having a talk with her daughters, Selena started doubting SoGucci's intentions. Her daughters seemed to believe that SoGucci wasn't being real. Lateshia and Maria also talked it out after the last episode saw them fighting over Maria's missing belongings at Lateshia's brunch.

The Belle Collective episode also saw SoGucci hosting a health fair where experts and doctors talked about easier maintenance of mental and physical health. At the event, Glen, Lateshia's husband, called JJ out for blaming his wife for inviting Selena to an event he and SoGucci were attending.

He said they had been inviting Selena to all their events since before their beef even started. JJ said, that as a solution, he was just going to exclude himself from all these events.
