After the top three, Michael, Muna, and Sean, finished their last quiz of the season, it was revealed that Sean was the Mole, and only two questions decided the winner from the runner-up.

Season 2 of Netflix's deceptive reality competitive series found its winner and its saboteur on Friday, July 12, 2024. The segment saw the top three, Michael, Muna, and Sean, compete in one last challenge, which brought their prize pot up to $154,000, which Michael walked away with.

Ahead of taking the final elimination quiz, the top three sat down with Michael and opened up about why they wanted to be on the show. At the time, the season 2 winner said the money would help him and his family.

The player added that he would be able to play off his school loans and would be able to put money down for a house.

"I wanna do something nice for my father, who's done things for me my whole life after my mom passed away. In this world today, I'm so lucky to be a gay man who has a family behind me, supporting me every step of the way. So any money I do hopefully win from this, I wanna do for myself and them," Michael added.

After the episode aired, fans of The Mole season 2 took to social media to share their opinions about the final episode and who won the show. Although most were unhappy with the winner, others were happy and believed it was "well deserved."
