"Voice of reason"— Summer House season 8 fans praise Paige in finale episode

Summer House season 8 aired its season finale on Thursday, May 30, 2024, which featured Carl Radke and Lindsay Hubbard's breakup. While talking about their relationship, Carl told his ex-fiancée that he was not ready to get married and added that he didn't want to commit to couples' therapy either.

“I don’t think you trust me. I think you think I’m going to relapse. I think that you want me to relapse. I think you want me to fall back so you can control me more," Carl told Lindsay.

When everybody in the show found out about the breakup, the female cast members rallied around Lindsay and cheered her up. Fans of the show took to social media to praise the cast for extending their support to Lindsay, especially Paige DeSorbo, for being honest with the former about the relationship.

Summer House season 8 finale: The female cast members discuss Carl and Lindsay's break-up

In Summer House season 8 finale, titled, Point of No Return, Carl Radke broke up with Lindsay Hubbard after proposing to her during season 7. He told his ex-fiancée that he was unhappy and didn't think they should get married. Although Lindsay knew there were problems between the couple, she felt "blindsided" by Carl's decision and reached out to her female friends for support.

While waiting for Lindsay, Danielle, Amanda, and Paige spoke about reports of the breakup online. This prompted a conversation about how Lindsay and Carl were in the weeks leading up to the point of no return.

Amanda told them that Kyle got a call from production that they wanted to film a scene with him and Carl, and once he returned, Kyle told his wife that it wasn't "looking good." Paige noted that she found out through Instagram, while Danielle said Lindsay texted her the news.

Soon after, Gabby joined the group, and Paige told them she texted Carl. When Summer House season 8 cast member Amanda said she felt bad for both of them, Gabby insinuated she didn't feel bad for Radke. Gabby said Carl knew what he was doing.
