Love Island: All Stars season 2 premiered on ITV2 on January 13, 2025. The spin-off dating reality series introduced familiar faces from the previous installments of Love Island. Maya Jama once again returned as a host alongside Iain Sterling.
Among the former Islanders that returned to Love Island: All Stars to continue their quest for love were Olivia Hawkins and Luca Bish. Olivia dated multiple men in season 9 and re-coupled with them. Luca, on the other hand, had paired up with Gemma in the initial days of season 8 and stuck to her throughout the show. Together with Gemma, Luca won the runners-up title of his season.
When the premiere episode of Love Island: All Stars season 2 introduced these two contestants, fans took to X and discussed the duo's popularity in their respective seasons. Not only were they introduced, but it was also revealed that they were paired with each other through public votes. This sent fans into a frenzy and they reacted to their pairing online.

"The public pairing up Olivia and Luca so that we can vote them out first exactly," a fan said.
"Olivia and Luca are both d*ckheads the way they weren’t even friendly to each other," said another fan.

Most fans of Love Island: All Stars talked about eliminating them, while others thought the duo matched well.

Couples who were paired by public votes on Love Island: All Stars season 2 episode 1
The Love Island season 4 contestant and The Challenge winner, Kaz Crossley, was paired with Curtis Pritchard from season 5. Kaz said that she felt like the people wanted her to be with a gentleman and joked that he was lucky to be with her as well.
India from season 5 was paired with Scott from season 2. Scott stated that he was "buzzing" and "happy" with his partner. She said they had known each other for a long time, so she was eager to know what happened. Season 10 contestant Catherine was coupled with Nas from season 6. Nas said he liked that Catherine had a big, lovely smile. Then, Luca and Olivia arrived as a pair and the former mentioned:
"Live round the corner from me and we've not had a chat so now's the time."
Elma from season 5 was coupled up with Ronnie from season 11. She said it made her really happy. The only participants remaining were Gabby and Marcel from season 3, so they were paired up with each other. Marcel felt it was strange, while Gabby called it "Deja Vu" and said, "Welcome back," while referring to their past pairing.
The episode ended with season 8 participant Ekin-Su entering as the first bombshell of the season.
New episodes of Love Island: All Stars season 2 come out every day except for Saturdays, at 9 pm GMT on ITV2.
